Regardless of what happened, none of us travelled for nothing and the money went to a great cause! ALL of our hearts were in the right place for the right reasons and that was to hopefully use our talents in music to somehow bring some ease and happiness into the lives of another..... though it wasn't who we all intended it for, it still happened and that's a good thing 'bro!!

As for the rest of the story, I have to stop before passing judgement, I wasn't in the back room with John and Ice, I don't know what transpired, and that's something that they'll have to deal with. All I know is what I saw.... and that was just a lot of shit going down out by the pool table. But, I do know that a whole lot of folks came together as strangers, for the good of another, and if that was taken advantage of by anyone involved, it is a shame.

Well before I start I just want to point out that im sooo not trying to make anyone mad here not at all....

I wasnt there...But I had been invited personally by Ice....I dont know what really happened and I have my opinions on it but this isnt the place for lashin out...From what I have read...Some bad stuff went down...its not our place to judge that, or who was right or wrong...Thats between Ice and John...All of the bands and Scott worked really hard for something and their hearts were all in a very very good place...and that is what we should stick to in this thread...Im not scolding honest....Im just trying to bring it back...Everyone involved ment well the whole thing was started for a great cause and its a shame that it turned out the way it did...But alot of ppl , SCOTT included worked really hard on this and yes it went awry, but in the end the bands and fans had a good time , and some ppl were helped...

Before we left Friday night I went and asked Big John how much was raised and he told me about $200.00 and he's going to call us to come pick up the check around Wednesday...

when J.P. announced that GCTTM was the fortunate party.
We were there to support local music, rockpagers, and the benefit (that went south).
All the bands were awesome...Thank You for your generousity

i moved from state college to altoona a little over a year ago. i lived with ice for a year. i know him a bit you might say. ice is a caring man. he loves his family, his wonderful children, and is a very nice guy. ice is a big man an could live his life being a mean aggressive ass. but thats not him he would rather talk things out. the last thing he ever wanted was violence. i was in a situation where i needed him to be, because someone attacked my friend. he was there, as with anytime i can think of he was or would be. that is ice. he is a wonderful friend and i can say with out a doubt, if john was right in his little saying if he knew who he was hitting and what he was doing he could crush you or julie with a hit. he isnt like that never has been. you really have to push him to make him mad. all i know is what happened wasnt all ice. not a chance. so be a man and tell the truth. it feals better.

I dont have anything against anyone in the whole ice thing except for the people who were wrong. I certainly wasnt gonna let people talk shit on the iceman. It is also illegal to take money from one benefit and give to another, you can get in big shit for that. think about it for a couple of minutes. Im sure the bands were great, Ive heard alot of the bands before. And it was cool of everyone who volunteered to play.
As far as the Opposition and CUCUPLEX we decided not to play to let one or two other bands get a chance to. ANYWAY in the future there may be a REAL benefit for Ice's family, for anyone who wants to be involved.

This was a real bennefit for Ice's Family and your right Ice was always a great guy and I always had his back, probably more than anyone, But he's not the same guy he use to be. Anyone who knows me knows I never fight or argue with anyone, so mybe that should tell you something also. As for the money, it not illegal to change the benafactor of a charitble event as long as all the donating parties agree. We took a vote and it was decided to give it to GET CLOSER TO THE MUSIC a very good cause!!!
