Ron - are you there to just enjoy, or are you pulling double time again like at Aldo's?

Sweet.
Maybe I can actually get to talk with you instead of just shaking your hand.

Here's what i say..............
Bring whatever you want.......you guys can arrange anything the way you want to. I just running sound...if there are bands screwing around, then that on them but don't blame me for shit. Everyone in the music world wants to play this which is great but I'm one person.
I'm not being a dick about this but there's so much confusion happening.
U the bands can arrange the equipment you want to use!

Tom and I will be bringing our guitar amps as well. I talked to Scott earlier and he has been busting his balls trying to get some equipment together.... fact is, when this was initiated he was in a band, and they were booked to play with us all Friday night.... everything has changed since then, They've since booked another job and Scott was still left "holding the bag" for the Benefit... he's been struggling to get things together.
As Vin and Steve so clearly pointed out, let's not lose sight of the reason we were all getting together anyhow and we'll pull this off, having a great time in the process.
Hell, even though I was burnt bad in the past, and am REALLY hesitant, if we're all going to treat each others gear with respect, I'll let my amp on stage for the night.... it's only a Fender Ultra Chorus but does fine for me. I don't use any effects either. I also have an old bassman cabinet that we can use for a bass rig, if the bass players bring their own heads (lead singers of each band will have to remind their bass players of this before they leave for Peter C's, we all know how easily they forget everything!
)
As for the kit, I have called everyone... and my brother. All the folks I know with decent kits just don't want to take a chance with a "stranger" playing them... I have to respect that, no one can guarantee that nothing will happen to someone else's kit.
Any Thoughts?

Scott - I don't have any sort of beef with you, and I am not trying to bring you down. You're the ring leader in this outfit, and it all has to go back to someone. If it was me, I'd be getting blamed too. Nothing personal bud! I guess what I said before sounded a little crude, but it wasn't meant to sound so harsh. I know expression is dropped when typed. Again, sorry brotha!
Like Dan said, I have also been burned before by letting people use my equipment. If Dan is hesitant about it, then I am all the more since I don't have another $2,000 dollars to go drop at Guitar Center again.
I'll bring my rig and let people use it, but so help me, if anything happens to it someone's wallet is going to be empty and it isn't going to be mine.

Whew what a thread!
Scott....dont know ya bro, but from what Ive read about your situation, thanks for doing what you are doing. Takes a "bigger man" to do that. I enjoyed talking with you on the phone and look forward to meeting you at the show.
Since we do not yet have a kit and need to work this out among ourselves here is what I propose:
OPTION 1: We The Nightcrawlers will gracefully bow out leaving 5 bands. The extra time created will allow the bands to use their own kits. Everyone is happy, the situation is resolved...no problem.
OPTION 2: I'll be totally upfront here....this will be a pain in my a** to do. I wish I could bring my own kit. Its an awesome DW kit, but its in large roadcases and a nightmare to move logistically - I use our bass players jazz kit (another sa-weet DW set). I have to ask him if its cool to share. We have done this plenty of times in the past. But after reading these posts, Im wondering what kind of drummers we have on the bill that no one (from the area) is willing to share theirs. I'm willing to do this so we can pull this off and everyone is happy. Its a pain because I'm coming from State College. We will have to now bring 2 vehicles. Im gonna have to leave work early to get it from the Thursday night gig, go home and let the pooch out and then beat feet to Altoona. I will be hard pressed to make it there by 8.....so anyone who can meet me there then and help get it in the door would be appreciated
The kit is a DW 5 piece: 20" kick, 8" & 10" toms and 14" floor. I use 2 front crashes, ride, china and 2 splashes and thats what there will be stands for. The kit is extremely tight.
If our bassist gives the ok, Ill bring it on up. Here is what I expect and no exceptions.
Bring your own: SNARE and SNARE STAND, PEDAL(s), CYMBALS, STICKS, DRUM THRONE and your A game
I absolutely will not budge on sharing cymbals. I had over $1000 worth stolen from Crowbar a few months ago and have replaced them all - sorry.
All I ask is please be respectful and do not ask to adjust the toms or ride cymbal. You are more than welcome to adjust cymbals to accomodate yours.
Its option one or two. You all can decide and we are fine with either one, provided I get the go ahead - I think I will and Ill post as soon as I know.
Thanks guys - thats it. Let me know what you all think.

Steve....I don't want you guys to drop this! I really want to see you guys play, so like you said if the drummers could figure out what to do I think we will be fine....it so tough to arrange these things but as far as guitar players and shit like that...if you wanna bring your own stuff that's fine, it's just the drums that take the time to change.
LET'S ALL JUST BE PREPARED..AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AND AS HAPPY AS CHINESE CHICK AS THE GARDEN HEALTH SPA AFTER SHE JUST TOOK 10 DUDES ON ONE AFTER ANOTHER..

I just got the word and we have a kit to use.....the DW set I mentioned in my previous post. Still cant understand why the out of towner newbies ended up having to bring it, but thats fine. Im stoked to meet and get reaquainted with the Rockpagers!!!! Woooo hooooo we are gonna be jammin Friday! Were really lookin forward to it!
Also as mentioned previously....drummers please be respectful and not beat the hell out of this kit.....its a damn nice one! I dont think I've seen any posts from the other bands (Dear Abby & 4 Days Dirty)....so please someone get in touch with them and remind them what their drummers need to bring. Nuff said on that....let the fun begin in 2 days.
Scott please give me a call. Im sending you a private message with my cell number. I have no idea where Peter C's is and I want to talk to you about load in and all that. It will be tough for me to get there much before 8.
Ok....I think we are all covered
Peace out

Steve,
I finally got a chance to talk to my brother and he agreed to let everyone use his kit, providing that all of the drummers meet your request as far as snare, cymbals, etc.... You can go to the following page to see the kit
http://www.byndreason.com/March24th2005.html
This may save you some aggrevation. I tried to get in touch with him earlier about it and wasn't able to.
Scott.... please call Steve and let him know about this.
Thanks!!
