The New 92.1
I almost shit my self when I herd the new music on 92.1. When they played Rob Zombie at 10am I thought this was a mistake. But, I made a phone call and found out that 2 stations had combined forces to get people back to listen to the radio. Not only do they now play the new stuff they busted out into Metallica Enter Sandman!!! Still, there is always a down side they have soooo many breaks between songs it is un-real. Well I guess it is a start. Now only if they will play System of a Down or slipknot I would be in love.

thanks
Thanks for the heads up. I can't stand Bob and Tom (something about the way they laugh makes me violent and migrainey, even though they are funny). I will def have to listen to 92.1 in the morn while I can get it (I currently just SCAN for the hour drive to work).
The new SOAD cd comes out this month. I saw the commercial on FUSE the other night and was sooo excited.

You know what? A new format was needed but that just sucks. I loved that show...Thank God I got my iPod and my wireless car adapter. I've given up on that station, for good reason I see...rreihart wrote:Yeah, i guess it's cool....but they lost a morning listener for dropping the bob and tom show.

Yeah, I quit. I refuse to listen to radio in the a.m. anymore. Know why? Because the same songs they play in the morning will be repeated on the way home from work. And that's everyday. And it gets monotonous. First they took off Bob and Sherri. Now Bob and Tom. So, I talk to myself on the way to work and then listen to Q94 on the way home...just to find out what commercial they've played with next.
No offense, but radio sucks anymore. When I have to pull out Enya from my cd case, you know we're in desperate times...

All I have are CD's - I don't even get the radio in my car.
Which, honestly, ...isn't that bad. No commericals, and no bullshyte.

I also was up in the air on the drive in on monday as to where Bob Tom had gone.
Figured it out today changed the station. The music selection was welcome but no morning show. While looking for something to listen to this morning I came upon 97.7 . On this spot on the dial all they had was a recording telling you to tune to 92.1
Did you happen to hear the name they came up with for the new format?
Rocky 92 I don't know about anyone else but that makes me think of a country station not a rock based format.
The name in itself, paints quite a vivid picture in my mind, as to the management involved in the change.

Ahh hells, I think it's all a ploy to make us country listeners. That's the main thing out there anymore. Don't get me wrong, I like some country...but not all country. And when 8 out 10 are nothing but country... I feel like I'm being surpressed by the masses.
Bring me back my damn morning shows and keep the good tunes on. ::mutters::
