600 CC V-Twin, has a very low seat height, so it's easy to handle, and the engine has enough ooomph to have alot of fun! Top speed is probably 95-100 m.p.h..

It's a "75 Its not in too bad of shape for being that old. Its got the rumble that i've been looking for, and it matched my girls tank top, so, I guess I had to buy it.

Forces' drummer, Allen Estep, bought a new charcoal one like that back around '77. He crashed it a few years later and was disabled with a bad back...couldn't play drums anymore....bummer.

At about 40 hp, its a nice bike for somebody 150lbs or less. A good chick bike or starter bike. These are so nimble, you could probably take the PA license riding test with one. Only drawback would be hauling a passenger at interstate speeds would push it to its limits.

Cudos on the chop job. I like the Intruder a lot. About 800cc, but more power than a Sportster 1200. Bet you couldn't wait to tear off the stock hardass seat and put on a Corbin. (That's a Corbin, isn't it?)

I have a stupid non-rider question: Does having the front wheel that far away out front have any benefit, other than looking cool? Does it ride or steer better? Not being smart-ass or sarcastic here, I really want to know.---->JMS

Its primarily for looks. Usually it results in more difficult handling, especially at low speeds. I've gotten around that on my chopper by using a custom made triple tree from a company in Germany (AME). The lower triple tree is blocked out (pushed out away from the frame) which helps the bike maintain its stock "trail". Except for the tendency of the front wheel wanting to "flop over" when I'm sitting still, you can't even tell the bike is raked out - it handles like a dream.
