Yes. 4:20 is a pot holiday.

They dudbed it that when Jerry Garcia died several years ago.

The thing I don't get is, why did it take someone to die to dub a pot holiday?

Actually 420 was around way before Jerry died, lot of speculation on how it started but heres some info, not sure if this is true too.

Man, back in the day ( at St. Francis before IUP ) we would smoke pot non stop from midnight to midnight on 4.20. It's as much an institution as is Spring Break...hehe
