Cool line-up....looking forward to meeting a lot of the Rockpagers at the show.

As far as equipment.....I wish we could share ours, but unfortunately we have an earlier show that night and cant make it there till 11ish.

We are:

Guitar, bass, drums, keys, flute and 3 vocal mics

How bout calling it "Rockpage Jam #?"

Id be happy to make fliers, if they need made, if some folks up there can distribute them. I wouldnt know the 1st place to put them up - ha ha!

Should be a fun night!

Honestly, I think we are going to run into disaster if we have too many bands.

I've seen it happen before, and it isn't pretty.

Maybe we should just stick with four.

Well somebody has to to say it.....Unless I'm hopelessly out of the loop here (it wouldn't be the first time), I guess we still need a Drum kit and a Bass rig, Is that right?

I don't wanna come off as sticking my nose in but I think 9 straight up would be a better start time and I think 10 minutes set up time is optimistic to say the least

and Bob, Love you guys (in a non-homo, manly way, of course) and if you wanna debut an original or two that's cool with me but I have WAY too much respect for THE GRIMM as an entity to want to follow them on

What We want is get our originals in so, we'll do a short set and you guys can squeeze in after us, if that's okay with everybody.

I'm not running this show so feel free to tell me to mind my own business but with this many musicians wanting stage time, it's gonna take some discipline and co-ordination to get the show off.

So when on stage, knock it out, kick ass and get off so the next guy can knock it out, kick ass and get off, and when it's your turn to set up, put down the beer, take your hands off that girl's ass, and get to it.

I'm not running this show and I'm NOT trying to, I'm just telling what I think

Let's Get er done!

Hello everyone...

Has the equipment situation been solved for Friday yet? Has it been given a name? Any fliers made? Peter C's doesnt even have it on their webpage schedule. Really lookin forward to playing but starting to wonder whats going on.

Any info would be great. Thanks.

You got it right, Vin.

Its Tuesday and we still dont seem to have the gear issue resolved.

Im gonna have to agree with Vin...a 10 minute changeover is probably way overly optimistic. 15-20 minutes is probably more realistic. And with 6 bands and now The Grimm....we'll be lucky if there is any time left in the evening for us, since we are the last band playing.

Are we the only band who has keys? We will be bringing ours and will need a few extra minutes to get that and the flute in the mix as well. I can bring my own kit, but as stated in previous posts....we wont be getting there at least until 11 at the earliest cause half of us are playing earlier in the night in State College.

Does anyone beside Rockpagers know this benefit is happening in Altoona?

Clock is a ticking.....

Blame Scott - he's in charge of all of this.

All I know is that, I am not taking my rig down there for several reasons - most of which I will keep to myself, but this is the big one... For a half-hour, it just isn't worth it.

I'm not taking any chances.

My rig was too expensive to play roulette with.

Not blaming anyone or trying to stir anything up.

Trying to be realistic here about time and find out what is going on with equipment.

Im sure we all want to play our very best and play in front of a crowd, but let's try and be a bit diplomatic here - this is a benefit for someone in need.

We can bring all of our own stage gear since we are last, but time restraints are going to make that impossible.

This whole thing started out as a great idea to have rockpage bands come together for a great show to help someone....lets remember that and not turn this into some sort of pissing contest. Kinda takes the spirit out of the purpose.

Come on groups - lets pull this thing off and have a blast!

I agree with you, Steve.

Although, I said this is what was going to happen due to the number of bands participating. Too many, and too little time.

I'm with ya, the real bugaboo here is the drum kit, who's gonna offer up their kit. I mean me and My Bass player use pretty basic rigs, I use no effects neither does he and amps and guitars can be set up with relative ease and quickness providing the player has set his mind to it

but drums, man Every drummer I've ever played with has his own particular way of setting the kit and the cymbals have to be just right

Drums is the big thing, once we have a kit that can be played all night the rest of it will be easy,

The person running sound will have to be flexible, I need different settings than Bob or whoever is doing the vocals for 4 Days Dirty so there need to be some mike checks goin on.

Joe from 4 Days Dirty has offered up his half stack (Thanks Joe) that will take care of at least one guitar, those of you with 2 guitars in the band are gonna have to do some lugging and me and the guy from the NightCrawlers who don't play through Marshals will also have to lug but that's okay cause we use small amps.

DMFJ03 said he's not bringing his bass rig, so that's one we can't have. I can't speak for Randy on use of his equipment.

The Alternative is that everybody else will have to lug,

let's hope it doesn't rain

has anybody got a direct box? do we really wanna go that route?

DO the keys and the flute need aything more than an input?

Here's the thing, What do you need? and what are you willing to bring?

I need a guitar and an amp and I'm bringing both.

My bass player needs a bass and an amp, he'll most likely bring both, willing to share? dunno, have to ask him

My drummer needs a basic kit plus extras, extras he'll bring

We're makng this complicated and it doesn't have to be

What do you need? What can you bring, what will you share?

We're all professionals, we can all treat each other's gear with respect, at least I hope so....

Yo Vin.......you da man!

Im trying to confirm with the rest of the band now and will post as soon as I know, but off hand here is what we are definitely bringing.

1. a single guitar amp
2. a single bass rig w/ direct out
3. keyboards w/ direct out
4. Flute (which I think will need a direct box)
5. snare, cymbals, pedal

So we will need: 3 vocal mics, drum kit, and one direct box (perhaps two). I can bring and use my own kit if absolutely neccessary and IF there is enough time allowed for us to play our 1/2 hr. set.

It would be nice if someone in charge of this could throw in their 2 cents here. Mucho thanks to all donating their time and equipment!!!
