Post by Jim Price »

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the December 22 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

This week's program was the 2019 installment of the "Homegrown Rocker" Christmas Special! We showcased how local and regional musicians celebrate the Christmas holiday season, as we heard area original Christmas-themed music as well as local artists' renditions of time-tested Christmas classics! We introduced a few new holiday songs along the way from Bill Dann & Jack Servello, Matt Aquiline & the Dead End Streets, The Austens and Terri O'Leary, and we reviewed X-Terra's Christmas-themed The Savior Is Born CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
