Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the October 7 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.
This week, we met and got to know our band guests, Hollidaysburg-based country-rockers The Chrome Hearts! We met the band members and learned their story, discussed their career and music, and heard tunes from their debut CD, Oh No! Along the way, we debuted new songs from The Evergreens, Shane Speal & the Snakes and Jack Pyers & the Sensational Double Clubs, dug a 1981 track by State College's Red Rose Cotillion from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Jeff Mamett's Carry Me Back CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
Here is this week's playlist:

Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, step "Across State Lines" to hear a tune from an out-of-state independent band or artist, and review 13 Saints' To the Floor CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
