Here is the recap of the July 31 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.
We revisited our mailboxes this week to see what new music had arrived in recent days, and debuted some new tunes on this week's program. We introduced new songs from Black Horse Motel, Mason Porter, Big Atlantic and Well Of Souls. We also dug a 2000 tune by Skaterman & the Box of Death from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a song from Virginia's Big Virginia Sky!

For this special edition, we spotlight various area musicians and bands in double-shots, starting with an early song from that spotlighted band or performer, and finishing with a more recent song by that same band or performer! We'll fast-forward through the careers of such performers as The Clarks, Inside Out, Halestorm, Chris Bell, Mark Ross and many more!
