Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the October 25 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

With Halloween just days away, we marked the occasion with the annual "Homegrown Rocker" Halloween Special! We spotlighted area bands and songs with a Halloween connection, from Halloween-themed band names and song titles to general song themes that tied into Halloween. And we heard other creepy sounds during the course of the two hours as well! We also stuck with the Halloween them in a couple of our weekly features; digging a 1994 tune by State College alternative rockers The Dirges from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and stepping "Across State Lines" to hear a Halloween-flavored tune from Detroit, Michigan progressive metal rockers Imminent Sonic Destruction.
