I think that's the only place you can get it, and he's sold out a few times already. $14.98 +shipping, and the cool thing is that there's no record company cut.

I haven't had the chance to get it yet but one of my friends at school got it and I got to listen to it a little. It's amazing, as most of his work is. I plan on buying it.

Hurricane, I'll try to get out Saturday for a bit. Depends on what time the kid goes to bed and if the wife will let me.....

After listening to this guy again (at home where I can crank it up!) he sucks.
Super talented but as a person who can make good music, he's terrible.
He can't/ refuses to play in key when he plays fast. When I listened to his song samples, every time he started to shred I started to cringe.

It's one thing to shred. It's another to be a good guitarist. Not saying shredding is bad because I love it more than I love to masturbate but, the songs always matter more.

My thoughts exactly. Shredding is at it's best when it fits into the context of a song, and that's hard to do, especially with tricks. It's difficult to not have them all sound the same.

Doing tricks just for the sake of doing tricks can be OK sometimes, but for me it gets boring unless there's an opposing dynamic somewhere... a place for the song to breathe. That's why I dig Petrucci's playing so much. In the solo to "Under a Glass Moon", he pulls out every gimmick in the book... but none of it sounds like a gimmick.

Maybe it's just that I'm getting old.

You ain't gettin old Ron. I'm 20 and I couldn't agree with you more! I think that's what makes DT the most talented band ever (JUST an opinion!). Everybody in that band gets to 'showcase' their talents, BUT they still manage to make each song a Song w/ out pointless, senseless wanking. What I would give to do what they do!

Man, that's my favorite guitar solo of ALL TIME! I always get shivers up my arms when Myung does that bass fill before the solo, because I know that Petrucci's gonna come in and play one of the most technically and emotionally amazing guitar melodies I've ever heard.

I actually did a paper on that song when I was back in high school.

Bobby, that is the same kid you posted a little while back who could play all that on the piano, he just grew up!!
