Looking for female singer

Post by jvon2525 »

Well, Here goes nothing. I realize I am looking for a needle in a haystack, but you never know. I have a lot of experience playing in bands, and I mean a lot. ( like 125-150 gigs per year sometimes) The one thing I have always wanted to do and have never done is an acoustic duo with a female vocalist.

My preference is 80s stuff, like Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, The Motels, Benetar, The Sundays, The Corrs etc. I would also be very open to good country if you are a country gal. Actually, I am open to all genres except

Blues, Rap/Hip Hop. Metal and big hair chick band stuff. If you are any of those, stop reading.

What I would do is play guitar, sing both lead and harmony, and provide equipment like microphones/PA etc.
What you would need to do is sing, book the duo ( I don't have time since I am mostly gone during the week), and schmooze the audience and owners. That is so not my thing.

Finally, I am looking for someone who is in it for the long haul. If we are going to do spend the time putting it together, I don't want it to be a six month project.

That's it. Are you out there????
