Looking for Percussion and Strings

Post by d3w177 »

I am a local solo/acoustic artist looking for a couple of talented individuals to write original music with. I am hoping in the near future to take a small three piece band out to openers, festivals, etc. I'm also hoping to have the same group record a full length disc. I currently have a couple dozen songs that just need the sound beefed up with some percussion, strings and backing vocals.

What I need is a percussionist. Someone with maybe a cajon, bongo, timbale, etc. And ideally I want a multi-instrumentalist. Someone who can add bass and/or second guitar and/or mandolin, etc. depending on what we feel the song needs. And backing vocals from one or both individuals would complete the sound perfectly.

I write songs, play guitar and sing at regular gigs (cover songs mostly). The songs I do in my show are typically Toad the Wet Sprocket, Gin Blossoms, Matchbox 20. The songs I write are typically in the vein of Matt Nathanson, Paul Westerberg, Glen Hansard. Basically Pop/Light Alternative with a touch of melancholy.

Drop me a line if there's anything you can add to this.

Sounds like a fit. I'll drop you a line. If you're from Johnstown, there's a good chance we already know each other. Who are these guys?
