It's a shame. This topic and this reply are a waste of bandwidth and sql queries.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

I sure would like to see more conversations here. Admittedly, I don't start too many, but then again we aren't gigging as much as I'd like.

There just isn't much of a demand for high-end karaoke. Who knew, right?

We've done a couple of private parties this year, which is really what we want to do, but the public gigs bring out the regulars and have a certain Fun Value that isn't often matched by the private parties or corporate events.

How bout anybody else? Y'all stayin' busy?

we had about 4 months where we didn't have a break. it was fun as hell but tiring. we've officially made it to the year mark for Root. and it's been a great one. played a lot of really cool places and i'm lookin forward to the next few months. and we'll be celebrating our one year Sept 5th at McGarvey's **shameless plug**

I'm currently playing in three bands. To say that I'm busy would be an understatement. Lol

Is it three similar bands or 3 bands of various style? I can see advantages either way.

Hair Force 1, Johnstown Classic Rockers, and a spin off of the Johnstown Classic Rockers. Two are similar and one is no where close. Lol

Yeah, I noticed that "General Discussion" sometimes hardly seems to move but I still check in mostly every day. I still consider this webpage to be the "anchor" of the central Pa. music seen and I'd rather see less stuff posted on the board than a lot of the garbage and fights of nonsense of the last 13 years that I've been around.

So Ron, thanks for keeping this place going and please keep it up:

To me "Band Pages" still is a "Who's Who" of central Pa.

Show Schedual still lets everybody know what's going on although it seems to be dying down a bit but it's not Rockpages fault, it's just the changing times.

I also like the "For Sell" and espically the "Musician Bands Wanted" link.

I am on Rockpage frequently and thank Ron for keeping it going.

It is still a valuable website supporting the regional music scene as well as other music related topics and a great resource to provide information.

I also run into quite a few people who are not musicians who tell me they visit the site to check out bands, schedules, events, and topics but they do not post.

I love RP,hats off to Ron.I was never one to get my panties all bunched up over political chatter. After all it was the same 5 guys stating their opinions(and god knows musicians never do that)!!At least people came to the site and it was FUN!!But alas the pussies finally got their way, as crybabies always do, and the vigor and excitement of RP died. Those few "local gods" forced RP to fall on it's sword and out the door it went.

Compared to a number of other local music forums, Rockpage still has at least some traffic and active posters. A few that I have posted "Homegrown Rocker" recaps to, such as Harrisburg Online, PittsburghBeat and OSHRadio, are pretty much dead in the water, and I seem to be the only one posting.

Social media took its toll as well, especially Facebook.

And for me, life got in the way...My career change over the past five years has meant a lot less time to compile long writs like my "JP's Corner" recaps, and it's easier to post short recaps and photos (and these days, sketch artwork) on Facebook.

But I still visit here daily, and still find Rockpage a valuable resource for music scene information. If something new is happening, I often find out about it here. And I still view Rockpage as that central online gathering place where musicians can still largely come to discuss area music scene topics and issues. It's still a valuable resource to have around.

Looks like Pedro Mota joined in June of this year..

Rockpage works in cycles, I have only been on here for a bit and I must admit that I have made a few political posts in my time but..

Rockpage is a great resource, it is a great community and it is still a cool place to check out the band scene.

Now having stated that anyone doing any cool beats or hip-hop?
