Big issue regarding Amplified Speakers

Post by Pedro Mota »

Okay so i was Listening to music in my Man cave,a song that i really like came on and i hit the Button to activate my Microphone it did Feedback for like 2-3 seconds and i immediately turned it off.

After this event occurred i was never able to Get output sound again.

I have the following components:

#1-Using a cheap M-audio to work as a Guitar/Microphone input.

Image

#2-The RCA outputs were conected to 2 Gemsound Amplifiers of 1000 wats each.

Image

#3-And on the [Left & Right] Output of this amplifier i had 2 Polk Audio Speakers connected by Normal speaker wire.

#5-Finally to control The Level and EQ i had bridge a Small Cheap Dj mixing table [Gemini 626]

Things i have tried so Far to troubleshoot this:

-I connected my headset to the audio interface and i can hear the music playing just Fine.[Working fine]

-Bypassed the mixing table completely and Connected the Speakers directly to the amplifiers [Not Working]

-Did a Straight connection by jack cable from the Headset From the audio interface to the amplifier and from the amplifier to 1 of the speakers and realized that [Not Working]

--Did a Straight connection by jack cable from the Headset From the audio interface to the amplifier and from the amplifier to My Studio monitors and realized that no output was obtained[Not Working]

So yeah...I'm tried my very best to describe the situation on here as best as i could since i noticed that this forum is also viewed by people that do Sound and all that so...Hopefully someone throws me a bone.

PS:My mixer powers up seems to be working Fine.

PS2:The amplifiers also power up the lights come on and so do the cooling Fans.

PS3 i checked the speakers and monitors and there is No damage done by the 2-3 second Feedback.

I'm at a complete loss here tried everything i could think of and still no sound.

Thanks for reading

Well For future reference...

The problem was the Fuses....When the feedback occurred the Fuses on my Amp's simply blew so i am hopping that replacing them fixes the issue.

Wish me Luck
