A BIG cheers to Mr. John Stevens! If you've never had the chance to hear this cat wail on the harp and pick the old lap steel you are missing out!

Ah yes... I didn't get the chance to post this yesterday. Why no? Well, I fell asleep at the computer and the drool left on the keyboard stuck the keys together. So now that it's dried out (and so am I!)....
Holy hells bells! Jamie and I got to see Blind Johny and JMS rocking it up at the H. Post Friday night. Very few bands make my jaw drop anymore, but these guys....I called the H. Post to tell them if they did find my jaw there, keep it and I'd come pick it back up later. When I tried to describe these people...the words that came to mind were simple. Blues-grassy-country...on crack. Smiling is contageous. Slim and Red smile the whole way through it (almost like they know their audience has no clue as to what they're going to witness next) and the drummer dude (sorry, can't think of his name)...his feet never stopped moving. Of course Mr JMS was doing some funky harmonics and Ukalaylying (lol....skinniest ukalayly I've ever seen...)..
All in all...once again, holy hells. A must see to any of you rock pagers that have not seen these boys. I suggest drinking the Alabamma Slammers when you do so...you won't believe what you'll be seeing...!
Oh and...The Joker was brilliant. Can't wait to hear that again...

I'll be the one left standing behind you, looking the other way as you glance back at what you've lost.
