Helpful Feedback?

Post by nabced »

Hey guys I play in a band called Anchors to Anchors, we recorded an EP recently and I was looking wondering if i could get some constructive feedback for use in the future when we record. You can listen to us at www.anchorstoanchors.com. Thanks!

I'm not really big into the easycore/popcore sound, but it sounds pretty awesome, dudes! My constructive feedback would be that the clean vocals are sometimes a little pitchy, but singing slightly sharp is often a stylistic trademark of that style of music. And this is perhaps just my bias as a bass player, but I would have liked to have heard the bass a little more present in the mix. It shouldn't be overbearing, but a bump around 2k would give the bass a nice click that would sit well between the kick drum and guitars.

I very much appreciate this style of music. Thanks for sharing and it sounds great. Did you all record and mix this yourself or did somebody assist with the mix? For some reason I feel like somebody named Troy may be involved???

Just did some digging... we had this conversation before. Tell Troy hello and the Sitch misses his swanky guitar skills and good conversation.

PS- I always bugged him about bumping the bass mix up a hair too... but like the other bass comment. I'm biased. lol.

Troy recorded our first song 10 to a 2, then for this we went to our friend Jon Kraft in Harrisburg!
