Will this band just STOP??!?!?!
I love the orig daft punk song, and they just ruined the hell out of it.
The sound of Hale's voice is beyond annoying. Damnit!!
Thanks for posting though! Atleast we know this abomination exists.
Gonna listen to the original now.
Edit- I just found out they ruined another song I really like. Marilyn manson's 1996. ugh!

I live in another world. With due respect, I never heard of "Daft Punk" or their verson of their song so when I listened to Halestorm's version. I just thought it was a good song with the voice sounding appropriately.
I respect your view. I don't like when some people do Beatle covers but hey, I saw the Beatles in Ed Sulivan in 1964.

I previewed some of the tracks. The manson song is ruined just as I knew it would be. No surprise there. I wonder if they are even fans of the song?
Im just curious on who "OK's" this shit before it gets out the door.
I know everyone here wants to like halestorm because they are from this state...but damn man, do you hear this stuff?
I dont know, I really dont get this band at all. I have no clue why they are being pushed. Their songs arent memorable, theres no great talent in the band. Why not push other bands that have it going for them? There are some awesome bands that dont have the company backing this band has and I dont know why.
I can only assume that someone in the band is blowing a record exec. wonder who?

wow...they're already putting out a covers album? seems a little premature and egotistical to me. it's like, write an actual album and if you want to put out a covers album to go with it for free, that's cool but I don't understand why they've put out two different stand alone albums of nothing but covers...come on, guys, seriously? And only after two studio albums? Why don't they just put out a couple of greatest hits albums while they're at it?
As for the actual music, it's okay...I guess, some crappy choices ( and some confusing ones) but they sound average and uninteresting and neatly packaged for the average brainless, tasteless top 40 music listener looking for something " just a little edgy", just like the rest of Halestorm's music, other than the lead singer. Yeah, she has a good voice, why else would they have a record deal?
P.S. I didn't like this idea when Metallica did it either and they only had one...unless you count that cover album of their own music with the symphony but I mostly count that as a Metallica circle jerk set to minimal classical music.

Actually Sue, they had two: The $5.98 EP: Garage Days Revisited and Garage, Inc. (which also includes Garage Days Revisited as well as new material).MistValkyrie wrote: P.S. I gotta give props to those compilations, as they turned me onto Diamond Head.

Great Job, Thanks for the heads-up.MistValkyrie wrote:@Andy, they did a Beatles cover, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdbzE68Nyzg
