I can hear the similarities, moreso with P-Funk than Gaye though but I don't even really see the point in this case because it said that the original song writers/estate of original song writers is NOT suing them over this...unless I read it incorrectly.
I don't think Blurred Lines is a copy or even a rip-off, it sounds more like just your typical unoriginal pop music dressed up with a surprisingly interesting funk bass line which is one of the few things that makes it "reminiscent" of the 70's funk music.
