Ok, I actually am looking. I have been with the same band for 21 years, but the other guys are slowing down because of their age. I would like a side project that will eventually lead to a full time band as the other one slowly phases out. I am looking to do either
A. Acoustic Duo with a female vocalist that can also play rhythm. I am 46, so I am looking at Pretenders, Blondie, The Sundays, Fleetwood Mac and anything else that would sound good
B. Same even if the female vocalist does not play an instrument. We could still make that work with one guitar and two voices
C. An early 80s alternative cover band either 3 or 4 piece. I am thinking of The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson..That type of stuff.
Hopefully there will be some musicians around the Johnstown area that will want to do something different. Classic Rock, Southern Rock and oldies is all great, great music, but enough already...LOL
