have all but lead guitar player

Post by thegreatozz58 »

We have a front man, bass player,& drummer we need a lead guitar player.
we are looking to do variety from the 80's and up no southern or classic rock.
we want this band to be about the people and not the people in the band.
If you have a big ego please do not apply.

If interested email me @ Jasono@santillodesign.com or PM

Thank you
Jason

Is Rob Owens gonna be singing for you? This is Scott, the lead player when we were trying to put something together in Martinsburg.

There are lead guitar players....no one wants to play modern music though. I think you killed their interest when you said no classic/southern rock!

That's for sure, I like southern and classic rock and so do 90% of the people in Altoona and surrounding area...

Yes, Great and Powerful Oz. Music in this area IS dead. Zombies wander aimlessly in our streets listening to classic and southern rock on their Walkman stereos. Wouldn't know good music if we tripped over it.

I didn't mean to kill anyone interest but that music is so old and out of date. I don't want to hear or play it and would never waste my time going to see a band who played it. Me and the rest of the players i found agree on that no southern or classic rock.

It depends on what you consider classic vs modern, too. It's safe to say that the Stones are classic rock, but how about Rage Against the Machine or Green Day? I've heard people classify them either way. What kind of modern rock? One Direction? Mumford and Sons? EveryCanadianBandThatSoundsLikeNickelback?

It took me along time to except the fact that Classic Rock when I was young is considered Oldies now! I for one believe that there is a bigger niche, if any, for 60, 70s rock and 80s hair metal. Second of all...there are a lot of bands that play the same songs over and over again. Play something that takes talent and something that no one else is doing, like Montrose, Thin Lizzy, Dio etc... Something that requires more than "Reading Tab"! Know what key your in, and just jam like the Allman Brothers! People love it!
