Lamb Of God

I just saw a Slipknot poster for their upcomming tour and Lamb Of God is touring with them. I remember when they were "Burn the Priest", we (969) played with them up in Cane PA years ago in front of about 7 people, and once at a skate park in Ohio in front of about 12 people. It just goes to show that if you keep pushing on you can get somewhere!

Lamb of God truly is awesome.

I had no idea that 969 played with them as Burn the Priest. That's freakin' cool man. They are actually re-releasing the Burn the Priest record remixed and remastered soon. That should be sweet.

Slipknot, Lamb Of God and Shadows Fall are playing in Tampa (near where I'm staying on vacation) tonight (Wed.); I'm bouncing the idea of that concert off the friend I'm staying with down here, maybe I'll get to check it out...

Yep. We had just bought a wireless mic system and were going to use it for the first time at the Cane show, Lamb Of God asked if they could use it to open the show and broke it into pieces after a few songs. Maybe now they can afford to pay us back!

I like Lamb of God, but after watching that one episode of Battle for Ozzfest, I think that their lead singer is a fucking asshole.

Q. You guys were featured on that Battle for Ozzfest dealie, what do you think about the show, and the lads A Dozen Furies that won?

A. I didn’t watch it so I can’t say I think anything of it! I wouldn’t know what to tell you. One day the Ozzfest MTV producers asked us to give a kid a really hard time on stage. They dressed him up all ridiculous and sent him out for us to embarrass him. We did that – we figured the kid was in on it and knew the deal. Later that night when we found out he wasn’t really in on it other than the goofy clothes we wanted to make it up to him. We kidnapped him from the MTV crew without permission and kept him for 2 or 3 days I think. We had a blast. We basically felt bad for the kid and the shit he had to deal with. He stayed on our bus, and we showed him what it took to really be a part of Ozzfest – not the TV show. I got a call after the episode aired that showed some of this and I guess it was edited to the point of making us look like dicky even though we were asked to do it. That doesn’t make me think positively of the show – but the kid we kidnapped, Mark maybe???, was a pretty cool guy and we had a good time together.

Just MTV making metal look bad, as usual.

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have jumped to any conclusions. Something about the whole show seemed screwy. For example, the part where the one dude got busted for signing those chicks' tits: they called him in to the police station for questioning, and he didn't even ask if he could have an attorney present. Wasn't he suppose to be a lawyer in his day job?

I can honestly say that Randy, the singer from Lamb of God was one of the nicest dudes that I have ever met from a national act. He's second only to the guys in Clutch. Randy talked my ear off when I saw them last year at Club Laga.
