Cant find a g spot, please help

Does anyone know where I can find a Gibson dealer some where within a reasonable hitch hiking distance of central pa?

I thought Rainbow Music was a dealer, but apparently not, and that was where I was going to go.

Drats, it looks like Monroeville is the closest Gibby dealer. I was hoping that there was someone else that maybe just wasnt listed on Gibson's website, because they list Rainbow Music, yet Rainbow Music doesn't list Gibson as a product they deal with.
The internet works great when you know how to work it.

I finally got my Gibson Iommi humbucker today, so I'm like really itching to get an SG to put it in. I considered the SG Standard, and the new SG 70's tribute because they have 22 frets. Most of the new SG models have 24 frets, which just doesnt look right....
Then I saw that they are offering the SG Junior as a lefty option, and it has 22frets, so I figured perfect! It's a 1 pickup guitar, which is perfect because I was aiming at my new SG into a one trick pony anyway, by adding that Iommi pup and tuning it to C#.
I'm not really too keen on the bridge/tailpiece that it has, and that pickguard is kinda cheesy, so I ordered a Kahler 7330 fixed bridge, which should be here early next week.

I think that I can use a '61 re-issue pickguard as a template to concoct a modded version to fit the lines and the P-90 routing a little better.

Contemplating on doing a re-fret with Dunlop 6100's and maybe re-radiusing the fretboard to a flatter radius.

This is a stripped down guitar with no fancy crap or binding on the neck, so all in all, it will lend itself very well to being modded. I have this all planned out already, so it should go together very tastefully, and also represent itself nicely. In other words, it may sound on the contrare, but i'm not hacking this guitar up, but rather modding it and in some respects picking up where Gibson let off so to speak.

I never owned an SG, so I guess I'm in a position where I'm ready to branch out as far as my playing style goes I guess, so I've been trying alot of new things lately and I'm having so much fun because it's fresh and exciting to discover or re-discover new things or aspects of instruments and gear in general.
For what it's worth, I've never owned a Fender Strat or a Tele! I know, I know, I'm a sad sad man...
I denounced Strats for years, and I more or less despised them and the Strat body shape in general, but now Ive been really diggin them and I'm kind of on the fence about grabbing one up sometime here soon.
Kinda funny how you come full circle, or take a completely different road than you thought you would.

Here's a shot of the SG Junior with specs and whatnot...

I'm going to call Monroeville GC and see what they have to say.
On a related note, does anyone know if Guitar Center will ship?

Thanks Scott, I'm really hoping that the SG checks out ok and everything, because i'm kind of going in on this blind because I've never owned one, and not only that, but there's the Gibson horror stories that always seem to float like a black cloud over them even to this day.

The major thing that is really going to blow is that I'm 99% percent certain that they will not have a lefty SG Junior in stock, so I will not be able to try one first. I'm afraid of ordering it and then not liking it, so I need to try and get an exit plan so to speak and see what the re-stocking fee is going to be, if any...

I threw the Iommi humbucker into my 87 Kramer Focus 1K because it needed a string change anyway, and it's a 1hum/1vol guitar and it was already passive, so it went in pretty smooth.

I am going to play it again today, but I wasn't very impressed with it to be honest. There's hints of Iommi's tone there, but it doesn't have the balls or sustain that I was hoping for.

Since the SG Junior has 1 volume and 1 tone, I can most likely remedy or mask some of the pickups short comings by maybe adding an EMG PA-2 preamp or some kind of mid-boost where the tone knob currently resides, so it will work 2 fold: It will help with the overall sound as I stated, and it will also blend right in with the rest of the controls and appear to be stock oem equipment.

I'll hopefully find more out today concerning the SG.
