Rain Must Fall did a great thing. They rose above the cynicism and general malaise of our local music scene and succeeded with great songs, strong musicianship, positive attitudes, and a great connection with their fans. I look forward to their future projects and eagerly anticipate the next RMF, whoever they may be.

Well then, now that it's been revealed...
#1. To Pete: I truly apologize for calling you a dick. Sorry, I thought it was you posting.
#2. To Trace: You ask why I defend what I do for a living? I defend my job because I take pride in it. I'm not at all ashamed to work for the largest retail company in the world. I defend it because people like you think there's some mental stigma attached to working at Walmart and Sam's, like we're not as smart as everyone else in the world. Did I go to college? Nope. Point of fact, I turned down a full scholarship for the University Of Michigan School Of Music to serve my country in the US Navy. But as far as my job goes, I'm damned good at what I do, and for the most part I enjoy helping people get what they need or want.

Why do YOU need to defend your band, or your situation? To use your own words,Trace wrote:You tear me apart because you give me no chance to defend.

Dood...

Trace, truley sorry for the loss of your house and what your son's father is going through. The whole point of what I trying to convey is don't continue to distance yourself from the people that have supported you through the years, and that could continue to support you in the future. Pete seems like a great guy, very supportive, but how much will he take. This is obviously not about music. Please, stop attacking these people that have caused you no harm. I know for a fact that over the years JP has sung your praises in Pa MM, many a times. Now you blatantly criticize the man for furthering his music endeavors. Shame on you. Your right, I am not a musician. You know me, have chatted with me many times on RP, but you are so self absorbed right now you chose not to remember who I am. We'll keep it at that. I am done with this. B

I am from L.A. so I think I can speak here. Every man / woman who holds a job and supports a family IS A HERO in my book ! My dad was a ditch digger in L.A. and he did that for me, my sister and my mother.
Any man/ woman who was ever in the military to serve our country IS A HERO in my book !
Any man / woman who has the guts to get on a stage and pursue their musical passion is blessed with talent. Are all talents equal???? God didn't seem to think that was important(!!!!), (nor do I nor should YOU) as each man / woman should work to reach their greatest potential, regardless of anyone else's opinions of where the mythical bar height is.
Set you own bar height and reach for it and LET NO ONE DISCOURAGE YOU !!!!!
Yep, I can speak because I was born and raised in L.A. (Lower Altoona).

I've been trying to think of a graceful way to applaud those who stayed on point(for those who forgot, it was to thank RMF for being a positive force in the local music scene and to wish them luck in their future endeavors) and decry those who led it down the path it's currently on. Know what I came up with? Shame on me for thinking this could end well.
So, here's what I will say:
Ron, Jim, somebody, shut this thread down.
Thanks folks.
Steve

I got to work with Rain Must Fall at the End of Summer Jam...first time I had heard them. When they said they were going to do "Thing Called Love", I said, surely they could't be doing that song where the dude sings really high. Holy shit was I blown away! What an amazing set, and for me, the high point of the entire event.

Was just thinking the same thing the other day. They surely had the whole package. I wish the best for all the members.
