Another sound person available

Post by Craven Sound »

My day job is looking like my future may be limited, possibly having to take a huge pay cut just to stay employed. Like most middle class shlubs, I live from week to week and probably won't be able to afford a pay cut so I need to try make some extra dosh to keep the lights on and some grub in the fridge.

About me: I've been around sound gear for 25+ years so it's time to make these skills turn into some cash. I can run your rig or provide a complete system if needed, or even supplement yours if you only have part of a system. I live "up the mountain" and gas is expensive, so it's not likely I'll drive an hour for a $50 three hour gig. Below is a list of groups I've ran for, and there are a lot more that I've done stage tech work for.

I've run FOH for:

Flight 19
7th Gear
Locked and Loaded
H.F. 1
The Grimm
L.A. Guns
Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg
Trout Fishing in America

Notable bands I've run monitors for:

Warrant
Great White
Ratt
Matt Nathanson
Rockapella

There are a lot more groups but can't even begin to remember them all. Feel free to PM me here and I'll provide my cell if you'd prefer we chat in person.

Mike

Also, I *can* DJ if someone has a last-minute thing. I don't claim to be a DJ, but can provide it if I absolutely have to. (Not trying to take work from a band's plate, just throwing it out there in case a cancellation type situation happens again.)

Had a few tire kickers, but nothing firm. I can provide as much or as little gear as you need.

Complete system will consist of NO junk or C-class gear, (Behringer, Nady, Peavey, etc.) and the basic rig will consist of:

(2) 1x18 subs
(2) 1x12 and 1'' driver mid/high
(4) 1x12 and 1'' monitor cabs on two mixes
Main speakers are Yorkville and Martin
Monitors are Yamaha
Allen & Heath mixer (16 or 24 depending on needs)
QSC PL and PLX power

Now booking for mid August and beyond. I'm also the new in-house guy at YP when I'm not busy doing my own thing. I'd like to thank Brad Hawken for hooking me up with that!

Now accepting September dates.

Here are a few youtube vids that a band I worked for posted on their channel. All they used was a very small camcorder- sounds decent on headphones or good speakers.

Still have some Sept. dates open, hit me up if you need someone. I most recently worked with Flight 19 and all of the bands at the Cresson End of Summer Jam.
