New Band? Folk-Punk?
Actually I don't care just wanna play some fast and fun songs but sometimes I like to slow down. I like the lyrics to be real deep and meaningful, but sometimes I just wanna sing about prison sex and flat beer.
Here's What I'm working with:
I can sing with the utmost mediocrity and I write the lyrics of a "slightly more mature than most", 8th grader. I have a vocal range that goes from a deep bass-baritone to a not so deep bassy-baritone but if I whine I can get a few more octaves plus I have a shriek that I have been told sounds quite like a weasel being raped by two well hung badgers. Unfortunately I'm kinda burned out on the extreme metal scene (I personally blame the heigtened popularity of MMA fighting). Regardless, it's obvious that we got the frontman spot filled. Plus I really really like myself and have been on medication for my narcissism (we'll assume that I spelled that right).
Where you fit in: I need people that can either play or own and are willing to learn to at least look like they can play the following instruments:
Guitar
Bass Guitar
Drums
Those are the basics, but I'm not opposed to banjo, mandolin, washboard, Harmonica, ukelele, keytar, piano, sitar, etc.
Age/race/religion/sex/color/creed/nationality/political affiliation/sexual orientation/pro-life/pro-choice/team Edward/team jacob does not matter. All applicants welcome. There may be a drug test involved, so study hard and bring as many with you as possible when and if you are selected for an audition.
I do have many contacts in the local music scene and even bought Jim price a drink once, so yeah, you could say we kinda have a leg up already.
Any interested parties should respond to this thread or send me a private message.
