"RePete" R.I.P.

Some sad news to pass along...Dave Kenawell, "RePete," longtime former doorman at Peter C's, passed away today.

I have many good memories of chatting with RePete at the door at Peter C's, and he was a big fan of Felix & the Hurricanes. He drove the truck for them when they did their Trick or Treat roadshows for a couple of years, riding in the back of RePete's flatbed truck through the streets of Altoona, playing Halloween hits and tossing candy to kids along the way.

After Peter C's closed, I ran into RePete occasionally when I was out and about, and if it wasn't at a Hurricanes show, one of the first questions he would always ask me was "Where and when are the Hurricanes playing next?" A true fan.

Rest in peace, RePete, and thanks for being a part of many fun times I had at Peter C's over the years!

Such a great guy, will miss seeing him out and about. Always wanted to help someone out, like with the truck at Halloween. RIP Dave....they don't make em like you anymore.
