I just learned that area musician Harry Bleyer, the drummer for A Beautiful Mess, was apparently seriously injured in an accident at his home this morning. I'm still learning details, but it apparently involved an explosion in his garage. He is reportedly at a burn unit in Allentown.

I'm sure other musicians with knowledge of the situation will have more info, but a quick benefit for Harry is coming together for this weekend. More info as it becomes available.

Harry has frequently donated his time and talents to help out others over the years, so let's keep him, his wife and family in our thoughts, and help him out as benefits and other fundraisers come together.

UPDATE: The benefit will be a the Bierhaus in Lewistown this Saturday night, and confirmed bands taking part will be Ganister, Johhny Unit, It is Written, Timber Tantrum and A Beauitful Mess with Randy Wilson behind the kit.

Harry was reportedly near a propane tank when it exploded, and suffered burns to 80% of his body and face.

Damn, what a shame. He is such a nice person. If it wasn't for Harry and the rest of Wiskerbisket, I probably would not be doing the band thing. Back in the Peter C days, they allowed me to cut my teeth on stage with them. Will be looking for links to send donations to help. Please keep us informed JP. B

Yes the benefit for Harry will start at 3pm at the Bierhaus in Lewistown this Saturday. Still bands offering their services and other things being worked out. If nobody else does, I will post and official benefit thread when all the details are worked out. Thank you to those who have given your support or said a prayer for Harry and his family.
