It's at The Spyglass Ridge Winery. My band, BluesMoon played at the first 3 Fests out there. It's a beautiful place & the the owners Tom & Tammy are great people!! Danny Welker runs it and he's one of the nicest guys I know! The opening band, Nate Myers & the Aces are the real deal and put on one of the best blues shows around. Nate is a Master harpster & sweetie too! And The Blind Chitlin Kahunas Chris & Kimbo will Rock your blues like NEVER before!! If I hadn't promised my kid The day at Del Grosso's I'd be there!

Blues has been alive and well for years in Sunbury - The Susquehanna River area is one of the best places to play in the summer!!

I agree!!! We were just down there last month to hear Kansas with the WSO. Awesome staff, great venue, made alot of new freinds. We were gonna go but have Pirate tickets instead, Styx is performing after the game. I really wanted to hear Leslie West, been a big fan since his Mountain days. Post a review, somebody.

I will let you know how it was. I did see Mountain in '73 and Egdar Winter and Rick Derringer in the mid 70's. I also saw Rick Derringer when he was at the Jaffa in Altoona about 7 years ago, and guitar-wise, he stole the show.

This is a great opportunity to see the legend Johnny Winter, who in my opinion is one of the greatest guitarists ever. Check out this vid of Johnny playing at Woodstock, he had just formed his band and just recorded his first album.

The guy played Woodstock, jammed with Hendrix and his girlfriend was Janis Joplin, he is a living legend!!

Let me introduce you all to Doug Rappoport, the guitarist for Edgar Winter. This guy smoked last night.

First off, Leslie West could not make it, health issues again. This happened earlier this year to us, when he could not make the Uli Jon Roth concert at the Altar Bar in the Burgh.

Kim Simmonds and Rick Derringer were only OK, the sound system was terrible there, and that contributed to that opinion. Everyone around me was complaining about the sound. (bass and kick drum about twice as loud and any thing else, your shirt vibrated on every bass and kick note). There was one time with 3 guitarists on stage, Edgar on sax and the most dominant thing you heard and felt was that bass. I hate a mix like that. (These were guitar legends, lets hear some guitar).

Edgar Winter is hands down the most multi-talented musician-performer in the country today. He blew us away!!! His vocals might be as good today as they were 40 years ago. His ability to do those scat duets vs the guitar and bass are unmatched. One of the best sax players I might have ever seen and when he brought out the keyboard on the strap and went right into Frankenstein, look out. He has his own, and rare, level.

Johnny Winter still has some great chops at 70 yrs old. He played his skinny albino ass off, so what if he was a little sloppy. The terrible sound mix did not help. At the end when everyone went up to the stage, I was able to hear directly from the big fender amp right behind his chair, and the sound was WAYYY better. He mostly played a Steinberger but switched to a Gibson Firebird and played slide for the last 4 songs, the best of the night. He smoked those songs on slide.

As for the local bands that opened, I just have to say they would be just middle of the pack here in Blair county.
