I'll see if we can get some of The Sitch's stuff set up early, like TheBMC's sax, a keyboard, some extra guitar amps. Still trying to find a dunk tank...robinhood wrote:StumbleFingers wrote:Hopefully we can put some epic jams together!DickShackBass wrote:aren't you both on that show? Hot Damn and The Rhythm Sharks?
That'd be awesome! So excited for Saturday and our debut!

Oh geez, this will read like a Doctor Who episode...
Currently, lead guitar for The Sitch. Formerly lead guitar for Johnny Danger (also at the benefit). Occasional fill in for Hot Damn (also at the benefit). In some alternate dimensions and parallel timelines, lead guitar for Hair Force One (not at the benefit, they're at Yesterday's Party). Not currently in HF1; was last month, will be later this month. Don't ask.

Today is Independence Day. What I'm hoping to achieve with my posts goes hand & hand with the ideal of that. Some of you get all pissy that I mention I was in LA. I am only doing that to point out something. When I was there the promoters, The Clubs & only a select amount of bands ruled everything. They played with peoples dreams by pretending that it was all there for you, opportunity, clubs, A & R (artist & repertoire) reps interested in you.
But behind all that was just people with the intent of getting the best for the ones who would go along with the plan. I called it The Schmoozewahzee (prounounced like The Bourgeois - in short, the upper class, the ones who schmooze)
I'm trying to point out that we DON'T HAVE TO go along with the plan. We don't have to play nice and like what's forced. We can stand up and say HEY!! That's Bullshit!! We CAN unclothe the Emperor and point out that he's got only a certain group of people in his interests, or touting tributes when there are MANY talented people to be had here. We CAN PROTEST that its ALL ABOUT MONEY!
There is a Musician's Union. I belonged to the one in State College. I'm not saying it was the perfect solution, it wasn't. Like many things it was also rife with those who played favorites, who ran the show as they pleased. BUT it was a sense of Solidarity. And a Union can be whatever the People within it want it to be. Yes, I know I have a reputation for conservative politics. I have changed in light of the shape of the government. Not completely, But I will always believe in the Power of people to Change and Voice.

I was gonna let it go but...
I had a few minutes so I looked back on some of your old posts and found you crying about Bluesmoon not being in the clique, therefore not getting gigs you deserve. Club owners hiring the bands that sell instead of "your band". How you put such soul into everything. Yawn. And not to mention the 900 posts about your travels. Just boasting, the way I see it. BTW, me and "Paulie" are cool. I mess with him all the time. He just doesn't wear his panties too tight.
Love,

Good for you Dude - I'm so Happy that you know all about me and are having a great time discrediting me. Yes I am one to speak up to not just sit back and let the fools have their day. If I have PROVOKED you I then have done exactly what I hoped to do.
Why don't you regale me with your amazing knowledge more, or better yet, what it is that makes you so knowledgeable? You write short, trite little comments all over Rockpage, but I have yet to see you really SAY much of anything.
At least Paul takes the time to back up what he says. Are you a musician, in a band, even stepped outside of the confines of the area?
You sound like a typical jealous person of no experience at all.
