Rigs: Let's See 'Em

Post by bassist_25 »

I figured this may work better in the general than tech forum, since it's primarily about amp pr0n. Let's see your rigs! Stacks, combos, rack systems, Line 6 PODs, Axe-Fx: It's all good.

Here's what I've been into lately: Bergantino AE410s, first pic with a Mesa 400+, second pic with a Carvin B2000.

On the right, you can see a Hartke HyDrive with an Eden E300T. The Hartke has moved on into the posession of my good friend, Kent Tonkin, but I still have the Eden.

I still have all the components to this rig, though the rack gear in the pic doesn't make it out that much: Aguilar S410s with a BBE Bmax pre and QSC PLX1602 for power:

Sorry it's sideways:

I go from the house to the gig in one trip.

No thanks, I got the door.

I don't have a picture of my lamp, but it's pretty cool. It's got these 3 little drawers in it.

Thats funny!

@ Paul, Thanks for the info on the lamp.
I'll post a pic of my rig when I find one that shows off her curves really good. She's shy.

That rig's bigger than some in-house PA systems! :D

SWR + Eden is killer, though!

Yeah it is but some of the bigger bands we have played with actually will have an 8x10 on each side of stage, so I actually have played shows with this rig where I have the smallest bass rig...crazy stuff

I bet the sound engineer loves two 8x10s on stage. *lol* I've never played through two 8x10s at the same time, but for some odd reason, I think I should put that on my bucket list of things to do before I die.

...though to be ironic, I should power them with some 3 lb. micro class D amp. I think the Carvin BX500 can do 2 ohms.

That is indeed in an attic I have an old farmhouse here in the outskirts of orbisonia. That pic was when I rewired the 6x10 and had to try it all out. For practices I use the 4x10 and the 15. It was remodeled when I got it not sure what type of drywall it is but it is real soft and absorbs a lot of the sound we hold our metal and country band practices up there

I can't say I played through 2 8x10s, but I did manage to use Eric from Dragonfire's 2 GB 6x10 cabs. It's what he usually played through then. It was nice, I didn't have to haul mine out when we opened for them...although 3 of them would have just KILLED!

Right now, the only pic I have of my current rig is when I "sidewalk sale'd" it loading out from Aldo's last week.

When it's set up next time I'll snap a pic.

Good thing Ampeg made an SVT that could keep up with such a beast.

I just found one of these empty EV sb120a sub cabs for $50 and I'm gonna put an EVM12L speaker in it. I'll replace the 300W sub power amp with a full-range amp one of these days to make it a powered cab. I already tried this with a Boss GT-10 processor and a 150W external power amp and the sound is massive for any size, especially at 36lbs.

When I'm done, I'd like to try it side-by-side with somebody's Marshall half stack.

I've actually been meaning to...I just have to figure out how to use my wife's camera, download the pic, and then post it to RP first. I will do this!

Very cool Jason! What was that one New York Football Giants player who said "Can't Wait!" during playoffs or what have you a few years ago?
Well anyway, that's me.
