Bands, Steer Clear of the Eldolyn Terrace!!!

Post by Steveb711 »

Just a warning to bands booked at or thinking of booking the Eldolyn Terrace. DON'T!!!!!!!!!!! My band recently played there and we didn't get payed what we were due! They are unproffessional & unreliable. I could go on a rant and continue to bash them, but do not want to lower our band or myself to that level! Just wanted to try and warn anybody that is booked there to be careful and anybody of thinking to book there to think twice!

You've been warned!

I thought they just had a play-for-the-door deal?

Yeah they do, but when you have at least 40 people and all the owners
leave, and the young inapt bartenders who never know anything slide you
and envelope across the bar with $40 in it. That's a slap in the face!!! And when you agree that the band get a $40 tab at the bar and you go to leave
and again the young bartenders don't have any clue what you talking about and the tab is $32.00 and your force to settle it, we basically played for $8. And to top it off when you finally talk to the "owner" the next day, she amazed & acts like she doesn't know anything about it! Hmmm....

I am so sorry this happen to you guys, they been doing bands for a couple months and that never happen and always paid the cover to the band. I got 2 calls into them asking what happen and have not got a return call. If they do not compensate you for the night I will make it right for you guys since I booked you. I will also call all the bands booked into July and tell them what happen. This is not right and I hope the bartender just grabbed the wrong envelope and was just an error on her part. I will post what I find out as soon as I know more.

The people who own the eldowyn terrace are landlords and are in the process of trying to screw one of my friends out of her deposit. no reflection on you al, but i would be careful dealing with those people. lots of bad stories about there business dealings have been relayed to me in the past few months. hopefully al, you can run the place in an honorable manor and make sure the musicians get paid and treated right.

Thanks for the info, my only goal has been to get bands A new place to play in Altoona, I am doing this for free and do not work for them. My goal is to keep bands working and to give them exposure.

the door

Post by 5stringlowb »

ive been playing for years all over and when ive played for the door
ive provided the door person to collect the money ,why should the bar collect the money at the door if the band gets the money ?
they say we have to check ids well have the bars person check the id and the band person collect the cover simple solution , if the bar doesnt want to do that then dont play there .

Al is doing his best!! Our band agreed w/ his purpose of trying to get another venue for bands, but when the bar owner doesn't do anything to help and sits back and reaps the benefits of our hard work then, what more can you do! I hope they can work this out, but in the mean time Blu Voodoo has decided to opt out!

exactly. the strip does the same. it only makes scence. other wise there is always the question "i think we got screwed?" enen though you may not have. if you collect there are no questions.
