Music History

I've been doin some research on blues and where it originated, the artists and basically just the history of the genre. I've got a book or two that i'm reading and its giving me a good insight.

does anyone else research or know the history behind the music you play? any good resources? i know there has got to be tons of knowledge out there, and i want to attain as much as i can. so any help would be awesome.
