Hey now! I never heard of Flogging Molly. They aren't too bad. I will be looking at some more of them.

You're probably not interested but I love to expand my horizons. And I love music without a back beat (only sometimes - given that my main job is to provide a back beat  ). Madam Butterfly and The Marriage of Figaro. I'm in no way an officianoto on Opera (and I never listen to words anyhow) but I love the flow and tempo changes and lack of a back beat not to mention the incredible talent it takes to perform. I've worked with some opera singers and the way they can create a solid fundamental tone with incredible overtones with their voice just blows me away.

Bill, I like opera. You do have to have a great talent to be able to perform that. I also listen to quite a bit of classical. I, like most on here, have a very eclectic taste in music. If it is good and I like it, I will listen to it. The Marriage of Figaro is a good song. Have you ever heard Lanny Cordola play it on guitar?

The Hawks Blues Band's "It Ain't Cherry" cd. While it seems like a shameless plug which it is, actuality that is what I was listening to this morning coming to work.

In the car, ESPN Radio.

At home right now, chilling to selections from a few different bands/albums, including:

"Engines Of Creation" - Satriani
"Super Colossal" - Satriani
"Spaceship One" - Paul Gilbert
"Passion & Warfare" - Steve Vai
"The Ultra Zone" - Steve Vai
"1919 Eternal" - Black Label Society

For some reason I am on a guitar kick today. And I'm a drummer...go figure.

I have NHP and Phenom on the original vinyl...I had NHP out just the other night. The guitar solo on "On With The Action" is one of the best solos I ever heard, the way it builds up....and up....

Nothing to Prove - Pop Punk
Been listening to a ton of "The Kills" lately though. A lo-fi / post punk group.

There are some great tunes listed here. Keep them coming.

I am currently listening to Van Halen. My wife got me an iPod nano (Thanks for the assistance in purchasing it, Kevin) for my birthday, so I have music to listen to while I am working out. So I am checking out the tunes I put on it.

I know this isn't quite probably the intention of this thread, but if I'm tired of listening to my mp3, I've been re-engaged to listen to the radio with 101.5 Bob Rocks (WBHB). Which is weird because I'm way out of their listening area, but I do catch a lot of it. Just wish I had a stronger signal.

Picked up a lot of great stuff so far in this thread :-) Thank god for satellite radio and pandora/ spotify .Here in my area, you cant pick up the altoona stations, 105.9 only works when over the mountain and we are stuck with 99.1 . I get it that its an older population , but im so sick of hearing the same 2 pink floyd songs over and over and over again. 99.1 is a waste of dial space anymore.

Right now I am listening to the beautiful sounds of mother nature. Various assortments of sounds from little birds above me, in the treetops. :D
