I do agree with you here. The Allman Brothers Band is awesome.

Now if you could try to string some slightly coherent sentences together, you'd be on your way.

Actually very little money goes to the artist's pocket and the majority goes to the record company. With that in mind I really have no issues with d/l music. I won't d/l a local band's stuff but Nationally signed artist...no problemo senor.
Plus one! I always pay for a ticket when I see people live, too, unless our band's on the bill. Performing artists make money performing, under the post-Napster business model. I buy the T-shirt, too. That's where the real money is for musicians.

I agree Johnny and Steve. The record companies are only out to screw the artist, not help them.

How about some more Buddy Guy? This will blow your speakers up:

Buddy Guy - Baby Please Don't Leave Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6tdlmx_GO4

I have a hare-brained theory that a lot of electric blues guitarists, knowingly or not, are emulating Little Walter's wicked distorted harmonica sound. It took another 15 years or so for guitarists to get a tone this sick:

Muddy Waters - I'm Ready

I'd have to learn it also. But would be the perfect song for you all. One of those songs that just emote themselves, if ya know what I mean. Not that I wouldn't be honored to jam it with you, but evolve it into one of your signature covers. Then we could bust it out at a jam down the road. The Hawks support you in your venture to keep the Blues alive, and we thank you for being great friends. Blues On !!!!! B
