Congrats to a Final Cut alumnus!

Post by Jim Price »

Longtime Rockpage visitors and Final Cut readers may remember former Cut columnist Steve Allison, a.k.a. "Schtiv the Friendly Sebastiano's Doorman," who worked the door at New Sebastiano's/City Limits through the 90's.

About two years ago, Schtiv started chatting online with a woman from China named Yan. They started chatting daily, and those chats evolved into nightly long-distance telephone conversations. Then last January, Schtiv flew overseas to China and met Yan in person. Cupid's arrow struck, Schtiv popped the big question, and Yan accepted with her parents' blessings. After a year of immense paperwork and red tape to clear the way with both governments, Yan arrived in America about three weeks ago. This morning (Wed.), Schtiv and Yan were officially married at a magistrate's office in Roaring Spring. (The church ceremony will happen sometime next month.)

CONGRATULATIONS SCHTIV AND YAN!!!

HOLY F*CK! This is great. I used to write for The Cut with Schtiv, and those old-school print readers may remember our war against each other about Mark McGwire and the Andro controversy.

I don't even know if Schtiv comes on Rockpage, but if you do, brother, congratulations and all the best to you and your new bride!

And remember....McGwire didn't cheat. :D

Wow, after seeing Schtiv in that picture I feel like I'm in bizarro world.

Congrats Yan & Schtiv if you see this.
... and then the wheel fell off.

Wow, that's kinda funny that you brought that up, because those "dicussions" came to my mind several times recently when hearing the steroid talk of late and I even remember Schtiv's reference to McGwire as, I think he called him an "Andro-tard"?
