Well I currently sing in Naildriver but Im sure that you dont consider the musicianship in that band to be up to par with your superiority! Ive played in many bands over the years and I can also sit in on pretty much anything. Not much of a bluegrass person but Id give it a shot! Ive done everything from Pink Floyd to Pantera. I can sing and Scream with the best of them. Im not cocky Im confident! If its against the law to feel that you are good at what you do then lock me the fuck up! Honestly Ive ready your posts and you are nothing more than an instigator! You like to cause drama. Your like the gossip housewife bitch that should be home doing my fucking laundry! We wont go there tho, Im sure there are enough people questioning your sexuality! Anyways Im in, where ever, whenever!songsmith wrote:Okay, I'll try and remember exactly what I posted, and this time it will stick:UNEARTHA7XMatt wrote:You really changed your post? Why would you do that? I issued a challenge, you accept and then bail? I will admit that Im not gonna go out there and sing no fucking David Coverdale bullshit nor will I be blowing up any 80s Nut Hugging High Notes. I will however show more versatility in what I do! I Promise you that! No Im no Peter Steele! IKeithReynolds wrote: Why did you change this from what you originally said??? You said you accepted his challenge. To name the time and place.
You then edited your comment to take a dig at ME. YOU ARE SOOOO GAY JONNIE. holy shit!
dont even like Type O! Dont be such a bitch old man!
I don't even know who you are, and I accept your challenge. Pick a time and place, and I will be there.
Now, this part is add-on:
I sincerely hope you're not one of those Cookie Monster guys I laugh at all the time, because I have trouble singing when I'm doubled over in laughter. I like how cocky you are, because karma is such a bitch. I guess you should probably let me know what band you're in because I don't think I've ever heard of you, despite knowing pretty much every band around (I take a lot of shit for working in a music store, but it means I know EVERYBODY). That way, I can determine what flavor of singer you are, because right now all I have to go by is "versatile." I know something about that myself, from my childhood in the family gospel group, to the early speedmetal band I was in, to the dark metal/punky stuff I did in Black Angel, the classic rock stuff, the popular radio-country band, the singer-songwriter stuff, the blues material, the old-school honkytonk, and the current bluegrass stuff. I trust you have such a resume as well.
We'll have to determine whose band we'll use, we can't use yours, unless that's the only way you can sing, in which case, I already win, because I can sit in with anyone. (And often do) Another way to approach it would be to put band against band (I know some guys), or just you, me and a couple of guitars. We can do original material (got plenty road-tested, or I can write one up for you), or covers, even songs I don't know (you'll need to let me know what songs so I can learn them).
Obviously, I'm going to make kind of a big deal about it, and promote it so there are lots of people there to see what happens, so I hope you're up for it. Look our band up on Facebook to see our schedule, because Mama Corn is kind of a priority, and we actually play shows (NY, MD, WV, KY, and all over PA, kinda proud of that). Don't take that as backing down, though. I think there are probably reading this with a knowing smile, because you've probably never seen me, either.![]()
Get back to me ASAP.
Keith, I expect your incredible talent and experience to be involved as well... if you aren't up to it, we'll all be completely unsurprised.
We got all highed Up and somebody put the car in the Pool!

It's one thing to argue online. It's another to fight. For me the difference between the two is that that former doesn't involve character assassination and name calling. When two folks come to an impasse on a subject, and one cannot change the other's mind, it often results in this type of behavior. If you are a master (de)bater, as so many of you claim to be, you would know this and be able to recognize when it is time to walk away.
I'm all for having a civil argument, but the fights that have been going on here are really petty. Commenting on someone's looks is childish. Going into people's birthday posts and bashing them is disgusting. Acting indignant when they bash you or your buddy's birthday post and then doing the same thing later to their b-day post is even worse. Threatening to go to someone's house and beat them up over an internet argument? I can't even bring myself to comment on that because it shows such a monumental lack of good judgement and normal thinking. Have I caught wind of a singoff? Are you all being serious...? That could only solve an argument on Glee, not in the real world.
In this post and others, please do us all a favor and exercise good judgement when arguing online. Know when communication has broken down, and know that at that point it's time to walk away. And, please, always remember, when you fight online nobody wins; because if you're fighting on the net, you're already a loser.

Very well said. The funniest shit though, is when someone snaps and threatens to hunt someone down and bash their teeth in. That's f*ckin' sad.hicksjd9 wrote:It's one thing to argue online. I think that its kinda intended to be the one and only thread that allows this kind of thing. The title is easily recognized and ignored.Dragan Kalasa wrote:I've been wondering the same thing for the passed 5 pages or so.KeithReynolds wrote:...This thread hasnt been locked for some weird reason...
Yes, it has devolved a bit. Just a bit.
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
You might want to ask the guy who is insulting, fighting and challenging 3 different people right now. If you have a different opinion with this person you immediately get insulted, called a racist and bigot and then he challenges you to some sort of contest. I enjoy music as a non competitive pastime. He wants to make it into some kind of one on one contest. Why don't you ask him why? Ask him why the insults and racist and bigot labeling if one disagrees.hicksjd9 wrote:It's one thing to argue online. It's another to fight. "On the subway today, a man came up to me to start a conversation. He made small talk, a lonely man talking about the weather and other things. I tried to be pleasant and accommodating, but my head hurt from his banality. I almost didn't notice it had happened, but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased, and I couldn't stop laughing."
No one has a clue but you. Right, Keith?
