Awesome !!!!!! I've had a interest in 80's style guitars lately, recently picked up an 87 Kramer Pacer and an 88 Hamer Californian. Is that a true single in the neck or a stacked humbucker ?

As far as I know it's just a single coil. I haven't even had time to test drive it yet, I haven't had it off the Screamin Demon yet. But i'm off work tomorrow and i'll be able to pay alot of attention to it.

Thanks man!! Yeah, i've had quite a few. If I had them all at one time and one place, i'd probably need a barn!! I always get something, use it for what I got it for, then something else will pop up that I want, so.......off this one goes to get the next one. Now I have a few keepers, and rarely do I go after a certain guitar with the intent of adding it to the keepers, but this is one of them. Kinda out of character for me too because my favorite music is old 80's thrash. No fancy, flashy guitars, just anything that ripped it up. But there were a few guitar players back in the day that I was able to see past the makeup and spandex because of the way they played and sounded. And George Lynch was one of them. I've had a couple of Kami's, but there has always been something about the Sunburst Tiger's that just did it for me. This thing is a tank too, 10.2 lbs. on my bathroom scale! Got the guitar, now let's see if I can find that tone!!!!

I always liked the Sunburst Tiger as well. My buddy has one, and he put a Warren DeMartini pup in it and it screams like a demon now (haha) Nice score there bro!

I didn't see that one, but I seen the one with Phil Collen on it and I thought that he was pretty sloppy. On the other hand I really liked John 5 I thought that he smoked, and Glen Hughes on the bass.

Awesome score! Lynch is one of my favs. Played one of these models before & it was killer. Maple body if I remember correctly, tons of tone. Hope to someday add on of those J. Frogg skull & bones to the collection (or at least a good clone of one, the J. Froggs are EXPENSIVE!). Heck yes!

Hey Rug!!! No, not playing with anyone now, second trick is pretty much keeping me out of the scene right now. As soon as I can get back on first i'll be looking to get together with some folks. Right now I'm just recording originals at home. But I really really suck at the drums. I have my old friend Jamie Kmett working on some drum lines to some new and old songs, hopefully we'll get them down pretty soon.

Off subject, but there are some sweet avatars on this thread. Rug, your in particular strikes me as, well sort of like mine. I got mine from the latest ('07) Solitude Aeturnus album. Where's yours from?

Danny, did ya get a chance to rip into that at all? Very cool guitar, indeed.
How do you like the push/pull for the pickup selector? I'd almost be tempted to put a toggle on there in place of that, although it might not be as cumbersome as it may appear to be. It's been a while since I had that style of selector.

I've been pounding the hell out of the thing, I love it!!!! The push pull pot is not bad at all. It's not real tight, so you can grab it in between two fingers while picking (with some practice) and switch it on the fly. I'll never alter thi guitar in any way, it's pretty much the perfect setup for me. I have an old ibanez 565 with 1 humbucker and 1 single coil that I love, and i'm building a strat right now and it will have the same pickup configuration, and 1 push/pull volume knob/pickup selector switch.

Rug, either way, sweet as all heck, I love it man!

Danny, an Ibby 565 is one of my dream guitars bro, I've been scouring ebay for a body and neck to put a mutt together. I like the new 370DXL in white, but ofcourse I'd change the pickguard out for a hum/single w/ 1vol.

Really cool guitar you got there, how bout some pics of the 565 when you get the time. I'd love to see that. P.s. Up the Irons
