What are you workin on?

Post by kayla »

What kinda stuff are you workin on musically?

i learned a number of blues songs today, mostly the rhythm (i will fill in the lead stuff once i get the rhythm down). spent time workin on crossroads, born under a bad sign, tore down and one way out.

thats the stuff i'm workin on currently, just on the side.

been workin on some new OAR stuff for Punk Fiction and some original material.

along with learnin a lot of theory and modes/scales during the week.

soo, whaddya got? or aren't you workin on anything?

covers

Nice music post, Kayla!

Well, I've been trying to remember and re-learn a bunch of cover tunes for this acoustic thing I put together. The typical I-IV-V songs are pretty much ingrained forever so I've been working on tunes with more elaborate chord arrangements. Actually, it's been quite fun!

I start giving private guitar lessons on Wednesday so I'm putting work into laying out some lesson plans and such.

Then there's Mt... which I just hold the hell on, enjoy it and let it go wherever it goes!

btw- Thanks for stopping out and sitting in on a few tunes the other night.
Keep on keepin' on,
Dan

Been working on my walking lines lately and trying to smoothe them out some. Also trying to stray away fromchord sheets and really learn a few tunes. Fun stuff :-)

Our bass player keeps pushing us to learn "Lazy Day" from Spanky and Our Gang... :( ...

We've had quite a few requests come in lately, and it's always nice to learn songs for the fans, so I'm focusing on that. Some Evanescence, Glenn Campbell, a smattering of country songs

Eh, I guess I'll take this opportunity to brag a little bit...

I haven't read our article yet, but I'm looking forward to it. We're kind of goofy in the photo, but it's a nice change from the "we're gonna beat your ass!" pose that many bands do for thier PA Musician cover. :P

Unfortunately, we couldn't hook up with Meredith in time, so the photo is from our friend, Tom. But I'm a little bummed I didn't get to hang with her now. :D
