Wanna win tickets to see Queens of the Underground on 4/14?

Post by grimmbass »

Lies, Inc has a fever...and the only cure is MORE COWBELL!

So, you want to win some tickets to the Queens of the Underground Show at Ace's on 4/14? Respond to this thread on Rockpage.net or post on www.facebook.com/liesincrocks with your candidate for BEST COWBELL ROCK SONG EVER! Provide the song title, artist, and a short explanation of why you think this musical masterpiece should be crowned the "king of cowbell." The band will pick two winners on March 30 based on creativity, originality, and our own biases! Entries will be accepted both on Facebook and Rockpage.net. Two prize packs consisting of (2) tickets to the Queens of the Underground show and a Lies, Inc t-shirt will be awarded!

Remember to mark your calendars for the Queens of the Underground Female-fronted Metal Showcase on Saturday, 4/14, at Ace's Lounge, brought to you by Placid Promotions! Tickets available at Ace's, via Placid Promotions (www.placidpromotions.com), or directly from Lies, Inc!

Either Don't Fear The Reaper (obviously) or Mississippi Queen (my favorite)
or Lord Of This World (A Sabbath tune with Cowbell)

I dont want any tickets...but here is my vote:

"Low Rider" by WAR.
Come on now, best ever. Cant believe no one mentioned it!! Such a badass song. I first heard the song in the opening credits of Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke. It really set the mood.

How about Hair of the Dog, by Narareth?
I mean does anything say badass and get one more fired up than a well played Cowbell?

And the Rockpage winner is....

Feel the Darkness! Based on the sheer bulk of entries (and the fact that you listed Sabbath's "Lord of this World," you win the Lies Inc prize pack, including a t-shirt and two tix to the show! Private message me your info (shirt size and how I can get the tix to you) and you're in!

Runner up: Dick Shack Bass....great call on "Hair of the Dog." I hope you'll still consider coming to the show! Keep in mind that Jim Price will also be giving away tickets on the Homegrown Rocker tonight!

Thanks for participating!

Fear the Darkness appears to have faded "into the darkness." As a result, Dick Shack Bass, our runner up, is the new winner! PM or e-mail me so that we can make arrangements to get the tickets to you. Let me know what size Lies Inc shirt you need as well!
