they didnt have to keep playing and they knew the risks, this lawsuit should be thrown out

It's not like these guys didn't play high school and college ball; how could they claim that they didn't know this would happen? It's a fairly logical assumption that if you get hit in the head and neck repeatedly, something bad is going to happen to you eventually. Many of these players have gotten millions and millions of dollars for putting their bodies and health on the line for entertainment purposes, and will have to pay the price for that sooner or later, whether it is with blown out knees or brain damage.

They'll try to show contributatory negligance or something like that. Hey the NFL can afford to give these guys a fair shake.
