A good movie that you have seen recently ..might even be an old movie that you've never seen before but like a lot.
i'll start..
Inglorious Bastereds .
A couple of years old but saw it for first time only last month, and 5 more times since then. the acting is superb even if the premise is a bit incredible.
The unknown German tv actor that played "Colonel Hans Landa" is brilliant! An incredible linguist that speaks at least 4 languages fluently in the film. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Landa
Second mention to German actor August Diehl for his superb rendition of Major Dieter Hellstrom, Head of the Gestapo. Achtung! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0225944/

took me the longest time to watch this movie and truth be told i just happened to catch it on satellite one night. generally i don't go out of my way to to watch brad pitt movies , seen one seen them all.
brad was carried all the way here. actually, he sucked larger than usual with his weird jaw ..whats up with that
he's very ignorable in this movie, the rest of show is superb. w/o him even better, brad stay home
witchhunt wrote:SCRE4M was good. Pretty brutal, actually. Maybe the best of the series. Rise of the Planet of the Apes had very good CG.
Don't like the SCREAM flicks don't like the dozen or so SAWS neither. Gore for the sake of gore or titillation turns me off. i like clever plot with a twist, great acting and real dialogue.
Lone Star State of Mind. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0269483/
Earl is engaged to his step-sister Baby. Baby has entrusted him to take care of her misfit cousin Junior. Baby is also intent on leaving Texas for LA on Tuesday. When Junior and his recently released ex-con friend Tinker rob a pizza delivery boy and end up with $20,000 of drug money Earl is forced onto the scene, giving up his and Baby's LA money to save Juniors limbs.
brilliant directing and script! the acting is superb..catch it!
much better than this synopsis above..trust me..you'll love it and LOL your azz off
WATCH IT TWICE.
ryan husrt as "tinker" should get an oscar for this. watch him closely..right down to his redneck "rotting" teeth. he's brilliant! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0403652/

Saw was one of the most brilliantly written horror flicks of all time. You don't find that plot to be clever? A couple of the Saws weren't that great but the first 2 and the last one was fantastic!! I do however agree with your opinion on Scream. God I almost threw up in my mouth agreeing with one of your opinions!! The first one was good and had a nice twist to it...but the sequels were pretty bad, and Scream 4 was the absolute worst. I was actually even more disappointed at the end of it and saw that Wes Craven did indeed direct it. The dialogue was painful at best and seemed like the entire cast just mailed it in. I gave Scream 4 two thumbs down.

I also miss the good ole fashion "inspirational sports" movies. Rudy, Rocky, Miracle.
