Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the January 22 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WRKY-FM (www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (www.rocky99.com).
We took the long-overdue opportunity to start cleaning out the “Homegrown Rocker” mailboxes, and debut plenty of new recordings that have arrived in recent weeks and months on this week’s show. We debuted new tunes from Flight 19, My Hero Zero, Charlie Bush, Drop Dead Sarcasm, Christopher Wilson, Kim and Ed Rhoades, Sylex, Xs For Eyes and Voice Of Treason. Along the way, we updated “Local Music News,” dug a 1996 song by Screwface from the archive for a “Local Music Flashback,” stepped “Across State Lines” to check out a new track from Baltimore’s Images Of Eden, and reviewed the Whiskey River Panhandlers’ Songs From Grandma’s Radio CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” A busy, action-packed show!
