I'm sure some of you have heard that Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with cancer but will continue to write for the upcoming Sabbath album. Now I heard today that Riot guitarist, Mark Reale, has been in a coma for a week due to complications of Chrone's disease. If any of the old school metal heads haven't got Riot's new disc, Immortal Soul, I highly recommend it.
"Death has come to your little town."
Any updates on Mark Reale's status? He IS Riot, the only remaining original member, a Brooklyn rock legend, and an inspiration to "the ripper" Jeff Wallack. I haven't heard the new cd, but it features a reunion of the "Thundersteel" line-up that features my favorite metal drummer, Bobby Jarzombek (who also played on all Halford cds). I think Riot is presently performing shows without Reale, which would be sacreligious events in my opinion, but we all know how the show goes on.................

Founding Riot member Mark Reale passed away Wednesday morning (Jan. 25) at age 57, two weeks after being admitted to a San Antonio hospital for complications relating to his long-term struggle with Crohn’s disease.
Very sad indeed. He gave us quite a bit of good music in his time. R.I.P, Mark.

Good to see the Riot fans represent. What a loss.
I'm more of a fan of the early stuff, but still like the later stuff... you have to give the guy credit for evolving, as the music tended to stay tight with the tastes of metal fans over decades of time, yet never sold out. Fire Down Under was brilliant, Thundersteel was brilliant, and though I haven't heard it, there's a lot of acclaim for the latest album. Perhaps the hardest thing for a music artist to do in a youth-based medium is to remain relevant and fresh, and Riot has done that extraordinarily well.
Thoughts are with his fans, family, and friends.
