No. Not the only stat that matters otherwise they wouldn't keep stats or have Qback ratings.

No matter to me I knew the Texans would lose because they are another example of a team that shouldn't even be in the PO's..along with the "Niners", belated Broncs and Dirty Birds.
Final score is the most important stat ya frikkin nit wit!!!
Final score is important only for the win. Individual player performance, or collective offensive performance and defensive performance and coaching are acturally more useful and insightful metrics. Surely now you must swallow your pride and agree with me.

At this point I assume you argue just to argue. And you keep saying the Niners don't belong. Top 5 defense. Top 10 rated QB. And a top 10 running game. Why DON'T they deserve to be there seeing as they only lost 3 games all year. Is it because they BEAT your beloved Steelers and you are still butt hurt?!!
Never even heard of their Qback till this, how great can he be? In fact the WHOLE FRICKEN franchise -49ers- are on the radar just THIS year. Must ask yourself why..an easy easy schedule every knows that answer. (but you apparantly). C'mon Seahawks, arizon, tama bay, clevland, seahawks, st louis rams. You don't turn a team around in one year..even if your Hardball's big brother.

The 49ers...they aren't going to last past this Sunday.

I have to ask, why do you believe that the 49er's , the Broncos, and the Ravens "shouldn't even be in the playoffs"?? I have a pretty good idea of the real reason, but I'd like to hear your logic behind your opinion.I believe all 3 of those teams won their respective divisions, therefore obtaining a spot in the playoffs. Tell me, why shouldn't they have been in the playoffs??
Do I really need to tell you why an 8/8 team like the Broncs/Tebow shouldn't be in the PO's? And we definitely shouldn't have had to play to THEIR homefield with our record of winning 50% more games..despite division "champs" or not. that's just fuk'd up!

The 49er schedule was easy. (see my previous post)

Baltimore: Flacco sucks. He'll be traded next season..mark my words.

it's no secret that Rice is carrying Joe Flacco on his back. All season.

When someone says "They shouldn't even be in the playoffs", that's what a bruised ego sounds like. You mentioned that the 49er's and the Ravens shouldn't be in the playoffs, either. Feel like telling us why??

Nevermind, I'll just go to Bleacher Report and find the link that you'll be posting. The Steelers are at home, get over it.

uhhh ahhh the 49ers...who ever heard of the 49ers before this year? where they been..on bottom of a pathetic heap for a decade! you can't turn a broken down ol freighter on a dime...even/esp a with a new coach/coaching staff. c'mon..

easy schedule + luck = 49ers on the radar. out of nowhere! B.F.D. but they won't/can't last
takes years to rebuild a team despite the "brilliant" coaching of Jimbo H.

bottom line: they do not deserve to be there Sunday

As for BAL...ok maybe but i hate them they're our arch enemy and Flacco is highly overrated. His inconsistentcy is the most amazing thing about him...Ray Rice..now HE is one of the best running backs in NFL. (too bad he doesn't play for Steelers!) Rice is the ONLY reason we must endure watching yet anoother dirty bird game

Actually, the Ravens are more likely carried by Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Ray Lewis, Haloti Ngata,... Need I go on? Rice, of course, is doing more than his part on offense. But even when the Ravens saw their last Super Bowl, the team relied on a run and defend tactic that most other teams, even since, haven't been able to hold up to

As for Flacco... No, he's not airing out 5K yards per season. But, he's won more Playoff games over his first 4 seasons to this point period than nearly everybody in the NFL today. He may not be the greatest down-field passer, but he's doing his job, and steadily improving

My only gripe about him, to this day, is that he has grip issues. With that said, he's still doing a damn good job. And with his current receiving corps, he's certainly capable of moving up to the next level. His accuracy isn't 95%, but he's making a lot of passes that count. His throws are beating defenders, and they aren't picking him very often. He's progressing a LOT better than MANY QBs. THAT is why Flacco is considered a good QB. He has a lot of people griping about not having 5K yards a season. No, he's not Brees, or Rodgers. He's not Alex Smith or Cam Newton. He's Joe Flacco, taking his career one step at a time. And if he keeps moving forward, we'll be reading about him hitting 5K yard seasons before his career is at an end

As for Smith and the 9ers... Yeah, they had an "easy" schedule... They lost a close one to the Cowboys early on, then beat the Bengals in a low-scoring game, and edged the Eagles a week later. The next week, they DEMOLISHED Tampa Bay, and the week after that, they were able to beat the Lions. 3 games later, they beat their next rival, the Giants. 2 weeks later, they took a defeat by the Ravens. And lastly, 3 games later, they beat a team you revere as a playoff contender, the Steelers

The only team that I listed that wasn't at least 8-8 was the Bucs, and that was for the measure of the fact that they took them to the ends of 6 TDs and a pair of field goals, while not surrendering more than one (1) FG to them. That's 5 playoff teams, and 3 other teams just shut out of the playoffs within their 16-game schedule. Yeah, half the teams they played weren't that good. But the other half were. 2 of the teams that they played earlier this year are still in the playoffs, as were 3 more that were edged out during one of the first two rounds

And as for not being able to compete? Go ask Brees and the Saints if they deserve to be in the playoffs. Go ask the Steelers if they deserved their place at second seed in the NFC. Go talk to the Lions and see if they're competitive enough to have gone so far as they did. Each of these teams will tell you they are. Whether you believe it or not, they didn't get there just by weakness in schedule. They'd be another 8-8 team if that was truly the case, and probably knocked out in the first round

As for that thought of who "deserves" to go that far,... Only one team went to go 12-4, then were knocked out in the first round, yet still "deserves" to have more... The Steelers. But I guess, since the Steelers only played 5 different playoff contention teams, 2 twice, they deserve it more

Oh yeah... And while the Steelers lost to 5 of those 8 games, the 9ers went on to win 5 of their 6 against playoff contenders. So... Who deserves what again?

Good enough to rank ahead of Big Ben. Let's take a look at the Steelers' schedule. Seattle? Cleveland? St Louis? Arizona? Looks AWFULLY familiar. So now what do you have to say? You don't turn a team around in one year? That's your logic?! Can't wait to see the niners winner and you complete your playoff sweep of pathetically inaccurate predictions. Remember the next one you get RIGHT will be the FIRST one you get right. But keep trying you're bound to get ONE right eventually.

The 49er's didn't pick their schedule, and they played a lot of the same teams that the Steelers played. They got into the playoffs, and won their divisional game. They deserve to be where they are.

You make some great points..

Still I hate those dirty birds. :P

No matter they won't get past NE today. Flacco is a notorious choke artist...

Congrats Patriots! Shame it ended that way because Baltimore played their hearts out and gave New England all they could handle. I hope Ray Lewis doesn't kill that kicker!!!

I'm no big PATS fan by any stretch but you gotta hand it to them..Brady is amazing and Bellicheck is arguably best coach in NFL today.

Having said that don't think Brady did that good a job. He was way off his game that's why the score was so close. they'd blown out BAL "elite" D if on. he was throwing passes up for grabs..very unlike him. Flacco...well he is the consumatte choke artist :D
