Strap Lock Install

Post by kayla »

I'm looking to install strap locks on my acoustic guitar. I need it done ASAP.

I can't seem to find a good tutorial online. And drilling into my acoustic scares the hell out of me!

Sooo does anyone here do that sorta stuff? Or know of someone who would?

Thanks!

If your acoustic has strap buttons with woodscrews, all you have to do is remove them and replace the buttons with the straplocks, using the original screws. If the original woodscrews are too short, take them to a hardware store and get slightly longer ones with identical threads. A music store might have better ones in stock, but ya never know.

With all your equipment projects, you should have a box of misc parts. Take a piece of masking tape, wrap it around the screws provided with the straplock, label them and throw them in the box.
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

i cant do that (at least i dont think i can). my input jack is the strap button on the bottom side of the guitar. and the guitar doesn't have a hole drilled by the neck for a strap.

so i'd have to have two holes drilled?
