You remind me of a friend I have. Every game is some huge conspiracy against the Steelers. And every team but Pittsburgh sucks. Even when they get out there and cream your team....they still suck! Do you ever lose with any dignity or class? Can't you ever say "ya know what....they were better than us". It's always some crybaby whining from you.jetcitywoman wrote:We travel 3 time zones and a hobbled Quarterback to play those losers..Hardlyballs doesn't have the decency to pay the freaking light bill!f.sciarrillo wrote:That game last night was pathetic. I don't think the offense showed up at all.Why do WE have to put up with that shit..it was surreal ..is SF a 3rd World country! that shit's inexcusable!
The 49's are LOSERS..saw that right off. We could cream them 99 out of 100 times. How they made it this far i don't know but says a lot about their shedule. Those losers won't make it out alive thru 1st round of PO's!
Big disappointment. Big Big Big. At the half i turned to my buddy said it's 50/50 if Ben starts 2nd half. really was thinking 60/40 really expected to see Batch out there lighting a match under that offense. Obvious Ben was in pain the way he hobbled around, not casting blame on him he's a real warrior but a quaterback of his stature sets the tempo for the whole offense if not the entire team. Batch could have provided that upbeat tempo for the 2nd half, i agree giving Big Ben first dibs for first half, he deserves that, he did best he could better than 99% of any but he's not superman. Batch has more than enough firepower to decimate that pathetic 49 defense. i don't see what all fuss is about their D anyway, nothing special there. Those losrs better enjoy what little time left this season, their finished before they even getstarted.
WE NEEDED THAT FIRST SEED!What was Tomlin thinking not resting Ben and going with Batch for 2nd half??!! The Dirty Birds HANDED UP FIRST SEED ON A PLATTER! DAMN IT!
But your football analysis is HORRID at best!! Do you TRULY believe San Fran said "I've got a great idea....let's kill the lights". Because clearly that would provide the niners with the edge they needed to beat you. I'll bet if you were an Eagle fan in the 80's, you'd blame the Bears for the fog that rolled in....it's a conspiracy man!!! They planned the game around the fog. Even had it it shipped in from Scotland.
And then you go on about Charlie Batch lighting a fire?! CHARLIE FREAKIN BATCH?!!!!! What is he like 100 years old now? I got news for you...Charlie Batch is just as slow and prodding as a one legged Roethlisberger and the results would have been the same. A big fat 3 points against a team with a "not so special defense". You lost. You were outplayed by a better team. PERIOD. You are all out of excuses. But don't worry you'll still coast into the playoffs when you play the Rams and Browns. Take a page out of Rob's book....learn to win and lose with some class and dignity.

My wife found this...had to share it.
Rumor is, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed the cart to replace suspended linebacker James Harrison.

ya, Baltimore's season is over should we play them again..and we will.f.sciarrillo wrote:The Steelers play the Rams on Saturday and then The Browns on January 1st. They should win those two games, then they are both sucky teams. They clinched the playoffs, and, I am thinking, will play Baltimore again? If that is the case, their season is over.
With that being said....how bad it must hurt to know you got lit up by a quarterback who doesn't even make your top 20. How pathetically weak the Steelers' defense must be if you can't even contain a quarterback that doesn't make jetcitywoman's top 20. And we all know how unbiased and razor sharp your football I.Q. is. Maybe you should spend a little time like actually looking at stats before your open your mouth. Big Ben is ranked 8th (not top 5) and Alex Smith is DIRECTLY below him at 9th. Spend a little time on NFL.com before you post anything else, because this is starting to get embarrassing for you.jetcitywoman wrote:Hairball syas his qback is one of 3 best in league. ROFL! I wouldn't call 18 for 31 with 187 yards and 1 touchdown "lit up." It was more a story of turnovers and field position, being "out physical-ed" up front is what I would say. Can't blame the D, I think they played well enough to win, if the offense wasn't so "offensive."sstuckey wrote:With that being said....how bad it must hurt to know you got lit up by a quarterback who doesn't even make your top 20. According to Jet, Batch would've been able to throw the ball and get the score up 47-20. And Ben would be able to win 100 games without a leg. And Harrison could hit QBs before the ball was thrown, after the ball was thrown, and while they're in the huddle too. Because it's all Steeler world and all, of course. Because the transformer blowing out is something the 9ers did intentionally, as they're an evil team
And every team sucks, except the Steelers, even if the Steelers would get their asses handled, by a dominant and destructive force of a team. But they would only have won, according to her, because they cheated. They used telepathy to make the Steelers' corners blow their coverage, and caused Polumalu's hair to get in his eyes, so he only missed a ball that he may have, in a billion years off a 30' jump, pulled in. And they beat them too, because Big Ben tied his shoelaces together. And they put the receivers into 2' holes then buried them in. That's why they didn't catch those passes. Everything is against the Steelers when they lose. When they win, it's because they're all Superman in a black and yellow (no, it's NOT gold!) uniform
Am I getting all of this right? We're all wrong, because we're all on whomever random opponent coach's nuts for the week, right?
I dunno. I grew up watching football, and learning how to call a bad call based on the occurance, not who's wearing what uniform. When someone on my team makes an error, I can usually say "Yeah, he did it". That ends the conversation to me. I didn't grow up taking pride in a team being able to cheat to win... I grew up with pride in my teams' colors and logos. And then after a certain point, I found a team that represented a lot of things in my mind, that I'm attuned to. And I take pride when my teams win. When they lose, if they actually lost off a bad play, I can say when there was a chance for a major change. When they lose by getting their asses handed to them, I can say "They were beaten, straight and simple." It wasn't another team's stadium. It wasn't that the opposing team bribed the refs (although, I have seen games that have made me wonder)
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I should have such blind zeal as the Westboro Baptist Church in my team like Jet. Maybe the opposing team always cheats. And maybe my team is a bunch of super heroes, except when the opposing team cheated to make them lose. Just maybe... Or, maybe not

Alex Smith finished the season ranked 8th....Big Ben 10th....just sayin.sstuckey wrote:With that being said....how bad it must hurt to know you got lit up by a quarterback who doesn't even make your top 20. Ok, we're up against Denver Sunday. I doubt Tebow & da broncs will give us any trouble even on their own home field. KC yesterday gave us the blueprint how to stop him easily. Blitz Harrison every other play!! he'll knock Mr T out!
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-g ... le=HP11_cp
Our Big D will step up and keep da broncs to "3"; as one of our best offensive weapons --Mendenhall-- is out with a torn knee.
My prediction: Black & Gold 24 Da Broncs 3

Sometimes i question Tomlin's decision making..
The 49'er game was PREMO to our playoff sit..yet he see\ms to blow it off ..plays an injured Big Ben all game, rather than playing for the win! Batch should have played the 2nd half!
Never a second guess from him on this loss. c'mon man you fkcked up!
now this..
