1/2 second before the hit, McCoy decided to go back to being a quarterback--sorry, too late. This is pro ball, not college. If you wanna do a variation on the option, be prepared for the consequences.

If a QB decides to run with the ball tucked, the QB should expect to get hammered.
When the refs & the league starts cracking down on ALL helmet to helmet hits, UNBIASED, and stop targeting certain players & teams (Harrison & Steelers) unfairly, the system & ALL rule changes won;t matter...some players (ray ray) have free reign to do as they please, while others (Harrison) can touch a QB in the helmet with their hands & get called...case in point..Steelers vs Colts last season...Harrison BARELY touches manning's helmet with his fingertips..he gets a 15 yd roughing call AND a fine...Ngata BREAKS BEN's nose WITH A CLUBBING HIT TO THE HEAD (while Ben is upright & in the pocket)...NO CALL..REF told Ben that Ngata was ONLY trying to tackle him....it was STILL a shot to the head of a QB in a defenseless posture...Lewis LAUNCHES himself into the side of Hines Ward's head THIS SEASON...NO CALL..Ward suffers concussion-type symptoms..I mean WTF!

Jet, you've proven once again to be full of shit. The Steelers are another team that house bad players, just like many. Tomlin didn't defend Harrison. He told the press he needs to stop it. Because Tomlin, unlike you, admits that he's doing wrong. Unlike a lot of Steelers fans, you can't accept the reality that the Steelers are another team in the NFL, and aren't perfect. They're not allowed to break rules, just as any other team isn't. They WILL be fined and there will be suspensions for breaking rules, just like ANY OTHER TEAM. If you can't accept the fact that they're subject to the same rules and regulations, maybe you should go get an official NFL rulebook for Christmas, and read it about 20 times, until you know what you're talking about, instead of being a blind zealot

Oh... And for the sake of argument, I wasn't born here, and my parents and grandparents didn't follow the Steelers. I'm not going to go on a tangent about this place, or Pittsburgh (mainly, because I don't live in Pittsburgh anyway, and neither do you, for that matter)

That game last night was pathetic. I don't think the offense showed up at all.

We travel 3 time zones and a hobbled Quarterback to play those losers..Hardlyballs doesn't have the decency to pay the freaking light bill! Why do WE have to put up with that shit..it was surreal ..is SF a 3rd World country! that shit's inexcusable!

The 49's are LOSERS..saw that right off. We could cream them 99 out of 100 times. How they made it this far i don't know but says a lot about their shedule. Those losers won't make it out alive thru 1st round of PO's!

Big disappointment. Big Big Big  . At the half i turned to my buddy said it's 50/50 if Ben starts 2nd half. really was thinking 60/40 really expected to see Batch out there lighting a match under that offense. Obvious Ben was in pain the way he hobbled around, not casting blame on him he's a real warrior but a quaterback of his stature sets the tempo for the whole offense if not the entire team. Batch could have provided that upbeat tempo for the 2nd half, i agree giving Big Ben first dibs for first half, he deserves that, he did best he could better than 99% of any but he's not superman. Batch has more than enough firepower to decimate that pathetic 49 defense. i don't see what all fuss is about their D anyway, nothing special there. Those losrs better enjoy what little time left this season, their finished before they even getstarted.

WE NEEDED THAT FIRST SEED! What was Tomlin thinking not resting Ben and going with Batch for 2nd half??!! The Dirty Birds HANDED UP FIRST SEED ON A PLATTER! DAMN IT!

You know, they did pay the light bill, it was a blown transformer. I'm guessing they haven't had a big game at night there in a while, and haven't used that much juice in a while.

As far as the game goes, there are no excuses to only put up 3 points. They played terrible, and deserved to get their asses handed to them. I'll win with the Steelers, but I'll also go down with my team. There's no shame it taking a beating once and a while...it's good for the soul.

Yeah, it's a conspiracy. We all know that the head coach of the team is responsible for paying the bills. Ben shouldn't have been playing, and his poor mobility effected the outcome. I slept well knowing they were going to lose, and they did. They played poorly, and deserved to lose. Get over it.

I'm a realist. Ben should not have been playing, and his lack of movement and inability to plant and throw contributed to the outcome. It was a huge game for them, too.

They have the top ranked defense, the same record as Pittsburgh, and they won last night. The Steelers can't say that.

And there were 2 power outages, totaling 35 minutes. They didn't seem to effect the 49er's.

Wow, you're really reaching now, aren't you?? Here's a quote from MSN Sports:

"NFL security chief Jeff Miller said he witnessed a transformer blow up while he was monitoring a gate outside the stadium"

Of course, it's all a conspiracy. Don't worry, I hear the voices too. Don't forget to put your tin foil hat on tonight, you wouldn't want the government to be able to read your mind.

Another quote for you: Joe Molica, a spokesman for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. said the power company was still investigating the cause of the outage.

''So far I don't know what the cause is,'' Molica said. ''We do know that Candlestick was the only customer affected by this outage.''

Half the city??

This is no longer fun, as you're making it too easy. The Steelers lost, DEAL WITH IT!!!!
