That's 1 (one, uno, single!) team that's been able to put more than a touchdown lead against the Ravens. And what's more... Against some of the top teams in the league, minimum 8-4 record, the Steelers have only beaten one top-card team this season... The Patriots. That's hardly mayhem in my book
You must be kidding? Flacco was 10 for 23 against the Browns for 150 yards. Wow he's a real fireball. . He's rated 23rd and has 78.3 passer rating

You and your dirty bird are lucky Rice was able to carry the ball THIRTY TIMES for 200+ yards with a quarterback like that

Rice can't keep that up every week, he'll get hurt. Don't talk about the Steelers! You lost to Seattle and Jacksonville OMG

We have it together and ready to steamroll thru rest of the season. Better watch for Flacco that guy is a bumbling loser, he's no asset and will probably be traded at end of season

In 2 games against Pittsburgh....that bumbling loser threw for over 500 yds 4 TD's and 0 INT's. And last I checked is 2-0 against them as well. But yes with a 9-3 record I'd certainly slap the "loser" tag on him. Oh and incidentally last year Ray Rice ran the ball over 300 times last year and played in all 16 games. So actually he CAN do that week after week.
And also, if they don't "steamroll" over the rest of their games, with exception to the 49ers, the Steelers would be a laughing stock, moreso than the Ravens
The Ravens, like the Steelers, are 9-3. Let's go over their losses...
Our first loss went to the Jaguars, who all season has been losing to teams MARGINALLY, by seconds and inches, not by yards and touchdowns. The Steelers themselves came out of their game with the Jags by an interception. They were in that drive, and a QB picks a bad moment to make a small mistake that costed the game. Steelers only barely got their win, and the Ravens didn't come out quite as lucky. But any other team could've taken that loss
Next, we lost to the Titans. They have a losing record, and they did the only thing NO team has done to the Ravens all season... Outmatched, outclassed, and downright BEAT. Yes, they're a losing team. So? It's going to happen, and you're not going to win every game, unless you're the '72 Dolphins. True quality loss there, true quality win for the Titans. It happens, and I'm not going to go into excuses (like some certain STEELERS fans). It's done, it's over, they've gone from there
Finally, at current point, and hopefully the last of the season, the Seahawks gave us our third loss. The Seahawks, all season, have such a back-and-forth in winning and losing. They're 5 and fucking 7, not 1 and 11 at this point! What's surreal to me is, going over their matches against "stronger" opponents, they're very hit or miss. But, they, to this point, have beaten the Cardinals (so?), the Eli Manning-fronted Giants (and didn't just win, but put up a good margin!), the Ravens, the Rams (again, so?), and the Eagles (and damn did they!). Again, this team has been doing this all season. They're winning and losing without care of opponents' records. One game, they'll beat a big team, the next they'll lose to a little team. Each game is a game to them, not just a "hey, we'll win because they've got a bad record", or "hey, we'll lose because they're good" kind of game. They win, or they lose, and they focus on the next week. This year, they're an actual football team, not just a bunch of overpaid, "we'll do what the opponents' records say" team. And they proved that against the Ravens
All of that said means this to me... Any given Sunday, it's not a "we'll do this based off this record"
Besides... The Steelers lost to the Texans, and the Ravens. The Texans have only lost to high-calibre teams with a good bit of power to them... The Raiders, the Saints, and the Ravens. But this is interesting... The Steelers, being such a "great team," and the Ravens, being such a "bad team," and all that... Why is it that such a "bad team" beat up on the "great team"?
The second game wasn't such a huge explosive game, but really,... How far away from the same possibility have the Ravens been over the past several matches between the two rivals? Believe me... Inches and seconds many times has been the difference, and that isn't far at all. Yards and touchdowns away is what the Ravens did early this season, and the "great team" was HANDLED by the "bad team"
Against the Browns, the Ravens opted to carry the ball. Yes, passing works, and wins games, as the Ravens demonstrated in a 35-7 ass-kicking earlier this season against a many-times-mentioned Steelers. But with this past game, Flacco was being conservative. They knew what they needed to do, and he did what he needed to do. He didn't complete every last one of his passes, ok. So what. He didn't throw all long strikes down-field, and he didn't hack, slash, and throw interceptions against a team that can take them. But, with exception to a fumble, he did win. He did what he was supposed to though, not went rogue and pull a ton of stupid stunts
Meanwhile, there was apparently a method to the running madness. You start the run off, and see what that can do for the pass. But, Rice did more than what he was asked in starting the run. He ran wild! If it isn't broken, don't fix it, right? But then again, I don't believe my team has to win by 50 points a game. I'm content with going up 2 touchdowns, and truly holding the lead. Apparently, you think differently. That's great, but really, football works differently than you must think
