At this point, it's still rumor mill, nothing official.

I get the feeling that won't happen unless its proven that Joe intentionally facilitated a cover-up. The university would risk alienating, angering and losing support of a lot of alumni by doing anything like this without the case even being heard in the courts yet. They would just be throwing more gasoline on the fire.

I'd be REALLY surprised if that happened. It sounds like a rumor-mill story got caught up in the local media. Nothing has to be real anymore to qualify as news, you just have to have video of someone saying something about whatever the subject is. Today on satellite radio AP Radio News feed I heard the "shocking" news that we've forgotten Casey Anthony, according to some study. Then they mentioned that Fox optioned the book that's not even out yet, and are making a TV movie.
The media's out of control.
